  1. Visual Pinball has a changing title image above the monitor as well for each game selected. Note: I took these snaps before I disabled game descriptions in the setup wizard as you can tell.
  2. Ok here are the next batch of images from Daphne and Visual Pinball. Daphne also features a marquee that changes with every game title like MAME.
  3. Ok guys I've moved my status updates to a new topic title as it will be much easier to find the latest and greatest updates on the theme. So with that I am releasing some of my latest work on MAME (which includes marquees that will update for each of your games).
  4. Hahaha you crack me up Tom. Is there a way to remove it?
  5. Yes I can see it on my new theme and confirm this.
  6. Look out XBMC
  7. Thank! Looking forward to checking it out I'm on vacation all this week so I can make some real good progress on this if Tom gets it out soon Appreciate the help
  8. I think that is what the problem is with the Theme Editor is that it will only display only 50 or so emulators. This needs to be updated to what GameEx is capable of doing which is alot maybe set it for 255. I must admit I really like the sort emulator feature of the Setup Wizard as I have alot of emulators and I recently sorted them so they are in Alphabetical order and it automatically adjusted my Emulator Groups and did it correctly!!! Very Very nice feature.
  9. @Draco The last emulator # is 5. I have to manually put the emu backgrounds in for all the emulators as it doesn't detect them by default. Only MAME, Daphne and Start show by default.
  10. Thanks celly.
  11. Well it doesn't list all the emulators and I have "Custom Emulator Layouts" enabled that is what the problem is. In the meantime I was able to just use the first emulator in the list which happened to be Adventurevision and use that one to configure the missing emulators and then copy and rename the ".ini" files in my theme folder so that it would display my layouts correctly for each theme that wasn't listed. That way I would be able to see where I needed to set all the object boxes for those emulators not listed. A pain in the butt, but it works. Maybe you need to see for yourself load up a theme and notice the list of emulators and see what's missing. I have a crap load of emulators setup in GameEx over 100 so maybe that might be the issue that the Theme Editor is having problems displaying alot of emulators. Thanks for getting back to me and let me know what you find out.
  12. Ok now that I managed to get back to working on my theme here is a new snap.
  13. When we are talking about thousand or hundreds and even hard to find images for that matter it just makes sense to have a patch. I for one don't have a life time to spend hunting those all down. I have created a generic marquee which would look great for the missing ones in my theme or anyone elses theme for that matter. Isn't this feature implemented in each emulator so why not MAME? All I'm doing is asking for a feature that will be very helpful in the creation of our themes and would be a great addition to GameEx.
  14. Ok good news so far I have found a work around! I tested it with Vectrex since it's not on the list but what I did was created a duplicate of the Vectrex layout but put it in the Adventurevision slot for example and setup the layout the way I want then saved it. Then copied and renamed the Adventurevision.ini file to Vectrex.ini and it worked. So I guess I'll have to do this for alot of the missing emulators until this gets fixed if at all. So I hope that helps anyone else wanting to do custom layouts.
  15. This is exactly why we need it added to GameEx to make this process painless. Tom if at all possible can you add the feature to GameEx so we don't have to have a million images for mame roms that we don't have images for. So we can have a no image found of our choice for cabs, marquees, snap, titles, ect ect.
  16. Well the next problem thou is the theme editor doesn't list all the emulators you have setup in the theme which is another major problem so you can't configure the templates for the rest of your theme which makes the theme editor not very complete or usable ... so if we want to create themes how can we if the theme editor doesn't let use edit our individual emulators correctly. This needs to be fixed .... in the meantime I will search for some work around if one exist. That just takes the point out of creating custom templates. So for my current theme that I am working on I can only make custom layouts from A-O and it doesn't even list all the emulators in the A-O range like I have Mattell Aquarius and that isn't listed. What gives!! Hopefully Ben can fix this issue as I also sent them a mesage from Headsoft's website so they can look at it and see about fixing it.
  17. Seached all thru GameEx and looks like there is no such option. That is unfortunate as I will need to create an image for every game that doesn't have a marquee which would take alot of time and HD space. Does anyone know a fast way to do this?
  18. Is there a way to display a default no image found for MAME games. So if a marquee is not found I can have it display a default one is what I want to do? Thanks
  19. Yes videos are what I am going to use but I will add that at the end as I don't have a membership yet to emumovies. It is a bit more work but adding custom layouts for each emulator will look really cool. I will show you what I did for MAME next as I am almost there I might have a snap for it later tonight.
  20. When you goto object browser and say for example select the emu background and choose your emulator select open then choose the appropriate emu background then goto emu foreground in the object browser and do the same for the foreground image then when you select the template for that emulator your image will be displayed in the theme editor now!
  21. Notice on the Atari 2600 I included Image 1 and 2 on that theme so it will display a video (which I don't have setup yet on my system just box images) and leaning against the console is a snap of each game cartridge as you scroll thru your game list.
  22. Ok I managed to get a couple snaps for you all to see the new theme.
  23. Well I just figured out how to get my images within the theme for each emulator so all is good!!
  24. Ok when I scroll thru the templates I can see the background images so I can line up all my objects however when it gets to the individual emulators the background images won't display so it makes it impossible to line up all my objects. Am I missing something here as I can't seem how to get it to display the backgrounds of the emulators in the theme editor?
  25. WOW! is all I can say about the new revision. You will be in for a treat I think ... I hope. I just finished the new HD framework for the theme and starting to put the new systems together starting with MAME and it is looking 100x better with the newer resolution and re-design. Will try to get a snap up this weekend of it. The new design will have custom emulator/module layouts for each system which I am real excited about which gives me much much more freedom to create better layouts.
