No prob!

If you re-read my post Tempest I said "MM prob doesn't get used much as there really isn't any instructions or tutorials included with it on how to use it" meaning in the zip file. I don't think that is entirely false. I read your post and saw your instructions, but still a bit confused sorry. I was referring to the zip file ... sorry for my misleading post. You even posted previously about it not being used very much and I was just trying to make a statement as to why. I noticed alot of other post on this same subject and users not knowing or asking for tutorials on how to use it. I would maybe just compile a tutorial or copy and paste your post within your zip file. I am looking forward to setting this up myself my friend as it looks really awesome from some YouTube videos I've seen of it running in action. Hopefully I didn't get you upset as this is not what I was trying to do I'm just giving you a perspective from someone who is trying to use your program.

Never mind ! Was having an issue with Overscan and ATI card figured it out.

Is it me or does the current setup wizard not allow you to setup and see all the Daphne games within the wizard. I can only see part of the first game and won't allow me to configure the rest unless I'm missing something here ?

Done! This bug is in all GameExtender settings for each emulator as well. So I got GameEx Extender setup with Visual Pinball and all I can say is WOW! really like having the backglass and DMD on the 2nd monitor. Now only wish is to have the animated backglass to work this way as well. If I can figure out MM as I like that it can be setup with many windows for displaying differnet images as well as high scores I see. Will tackle this one when I have more patience.

Bug in the Setup Wizard! When you try to enter GameExtender settings and enter the Snap not found image it only puts in the name and not the full path so you have to manually enter it or it will not work correctly.

@Adultery actually you can setup GameExtender path for MAME in the setup wizard it's under the MAME settings. MM prob doesn't get used much as there really isn't any instructions or tutorials included with it on how to use it. It's kinda figure it out for yourself by looking at the example ini's which doesn't really help that much for the majority. It prob is really easy once you know how to use it but it's getting to that first step. It looks difficult so many just pass it up. As this is why I too have just started using GameExtender.

Figured out the lag as I had the refresh rate set to 7 secs. Now I have snap not found image selected, but when it doesn't find an image it just displays the GameEx logo?? I have it set to a png image but it doesn't display that image just the GameEx Logo image .... it hmmmm is this a bug in GameEx? UPDATE! Actually found it's a bug with the setup wizard as when you select an image it just inserts the name of the png and not the full path with the name of the image. You have to manually put the path name it in the setup wizard.

I did get GameEx Extender setup and working, but haven't figured out how to have it display the marquees yet as it appears to just display the snaps from my snapshot folders for each emulator. This feature also has a bit of lag before displaying the images. Also My second monitor is a 1680x1050, but I have it setup vertically as this monitor can rotate as I like to use this to play MAME vertical shooters that way as they look much better.

@Adultery I see in the past you using MM and maybe you could shed some light on getting this setup on my system. I just hooked up a second monitor and would love to have my marquee and vp/fp backglasses displayed on it. Thanks btw I did a search on these forums for some help on the matter, but none of them make any sense too me at all.

Welcome to GameEx forums! 1) I would recommend using the setup wizard as it is too time consuming to do it manually. 2) You still need to edit each emulator using the wizard to config your directories and other settings. 3) Can't help you with this one as I don't use that feature, but I'm sure someone here will have an answer for you soon on this one.

Sorry to hear about your grandma. I too can't wait to give your theme a run as it looks amazing as I'm sure it will be.

Thanks! I'll have to do alot of touching up as I go along. I'm not a professional graphic artists by any stretch of the imagination and still learning on how to use these paint programs. Many nights watching YouTube videos and teaching myself basically and forums reading. Maybe someday I can get up to par with the likes of Draco and Adultery as these two guys have helped me along alot and their themes are of amazing quality.

Updated the start page as it needed a few tweaks and touching up.

Thanks I liked how the floppy disk turned out . I have GIMP, but I just don't like the way the interface is. PSP X4 is really nice, but costed some $ but I got Video Studio Pro X4 also with it and the Full Version of WinZip Pro also. Funny it came with 3D Red/Blue glasses too. Nicer pair than expecting which I can use for many other things that I have that require them. Not yet ... as I wanted to get the emulators out of the way which I'm very close to being done with. A few need to be touched up. Then I will start on the stock pages. I've got the Main page done, but I need to re-do it as I'm not happy with it. Overall thou it's coming along. Switching paint programs is slowing me down a bit as I am trying to learn how to do things in PSP X4 (PaintShop Pro X4). Some things in Paint.net were real simple, but in PSP X4 it's much different, but tonight I just figured out how to mess with layers which dam near was pissing me off trying to figure out how to do things. However tonight I just figured it out what I wanted to do as it only took 2 days and searching all over the net with no luck, but I figured it out!! So now I can get back to working on the theme. image to follow..

Well I am starting to get good at Paint.net, but it seems a bit limited ... so I took the next step and bought Paintshop Pro X4 Ultimate today and depending on how I do with it I might be touching these backgrounds up and/or adding new images to them to look more professionally done. I was watching some youtube videos on it and I was impressed at how much easier and better plugins this comes with. Dam I remember this program back in my early Amiga days, how times have changed. So I have a new paint program to tinker around with tonight ! Hopefully I can learn this fast and get busy with my theme. Last night I finished working on: Tomy Tutor Dragon 32/64 MSX MSDOS\DosBox\D-Fend Reload (Total re-do and looks 100% better than my first attempt) MisfitMAME Games For Windows (This one will have individual PC Games like Cysis ect ect) Cysis and Crysis Warhead (Many more to come later)

You beat me too it Adultery was going to say something about that as it really makes sense and needed feature to help improve our themes. Also need a custom background for the GameEx Arcade as well would be nice too. It only makes sense that it too should be able to be skinned/themed per say. (I know I have mentioned this before)
