  1. Does it exist? I saw a MAME Map Magician utility, but I need one to say search a rom folder of any emulator that you select and generate a MAP file that you can then name each ROM to the name you want. So say you seatch a rom folder and it finds: Dig Dug (Atari).zip Then you can rename it to: Dig Dug Then it creates the MAP file and saves it in the GameEx MAP folder with a name that you call it (Atari Games.map): Dig Dug (Atari)|Dig Dug Or does a utility already exist that does this and I just overlooked it
  2. @Tom When using groups and you have say 2 different backgrounds to display GameEx only displays the 1st background image. It should display the background image I would think that you have setup under the Emulator but it doesn't. Is it possible to correct this so that it will.
  3. That's because you really don't need a loader to run WinUAE games. You can setup GameEX to run the *.uae files in your (WinUAE) config folder via the command line in GameEx: Path = path to your WinUAE config folder Rom Filter = *.uae Command Line = ""[ROMPath]\[RomFile]"" That way you won't need any command lines since you set them up to run whatever way you wanted within WinUAE already.
  4. Happy New Year's ... now somebody pass me the Champagne !
  5. Also note there is a new version of Stella out 3.5
  6. Thanks guys ... I like this revision alot better and it looks amazing on the HDTV. It took me awhile to finally get to this point. I was almost finished with the theme when I just wasn't happy with it so I started all over ... several times a matter of fact.
  7. Just the tip of the iceberg my friends. So hopefully this will get you all excited for this juggernaut of a theme. Now you can see why I wanted to have each individual MAME games be skinned. If each emulator can look this good then imagine what each MAME game can look like. I'm having a blast making this and sure don't want it to end as I want to make individual MAME game skins as well. Maybe soon as Tom looks like he's adding many cool features.
  8. Here is one more that I worked on that took me several days to get right.
  9. Maybe have the menu scroll similar to the way Maximus Arcade works when you select emulators. Displays 1 at a time so you can have a graphic picture for each menu item and when you scroll left or right it moves accordingly. So for example: BACK HOME EXIT Would be just: BACK Scroll to the right and it would show the HOME option only ... Scroll to the right again and it would display EXIT only as well so you only see one at a time not all 3 at once.
  10. Thanks. Behind the text on the Retro Arcade screens is a video of the games playing which you can't tell in the snaps. I also have the Arcade Ambience playing as well.
  11. Hahaha well hmmmmmmmmmm ok
  12. [12-30-11]UPDATE: This theme has been going under many revisions and alot of graphic changes during my holiday vacation. So far I am very happy with the improvements I have made which I'm sure all of you fellow GameEx'erz will enjoy. All the snaps that I posted previously have changed dramatically some of which or should I say most of them you wouldn't even recognize anymore. Sorry that I didn't get this theme ready by X-mas, but with so many systems to skin it is taking me much longer than I previously thought it would take. So I'm looking forward to hopefully getting this done by March 2012. That is my set timeline I'm giving myself so lets see how it goes as it is not etched in stone or anything. If I get done sooner then I will release it. Hope everyone had a nice Christmas and soon to be New Year!!
  13. yes I have noticed that as well ...
  14. Yeah I just tried that myself with custom menus and it disabled all of them except my first menu items.
  15. Same here! Happy B-lated B-day
  16. Note: that all the _transparent will have the name of the emulator before it like "Atari 2600_foreground" which will be created when you do this in the theme editor and saved in the theme media folder. You have to make sure it is transparent and not a solid color like black or it will not work correctly.
  17. Dang that took along time for someone to respond. I was starting to think it was only happening on my system or maybe it is. I had to create a transparent _foreground images within the theme editor and not just copy paste the files within the theme media folder. So actually if I have no _foreground for a emulator I still had to create a blank transparent _foreground for it to work correctly. So maybe Tom can fix that so we don't have to do all that work. For some reason in the past it seemed that I didn't have to do that but all of a sudden recently it started acting up so it took me all dang day yesterday to figure what was happening. SO I tried that late last night and it works. Now I just need to figure out why the scroll box isn't working the way it should. For now I am dropping that out of my theme unless I get it to work correctly.
  18. UPDATE! Fixed it
  19. So when I use a foreground image on the startbak it carries over to all the other emulators????? even thou I have a different image for the foreground on the emulator.
  20. So when I delete say "Atari 2600_scroller" then no text will display and scroll in the designated scroll box, but when I replace the "Atari 2600_scroller" file back then it will just scroll the RSS feed and not the text in the "Atari 2600_scroller" file. If I disable the RSS feeds it still will display the RSS feed regardless. So it looks like it is definately broken Tom. Can anyone else confirm this at all?
  21. I even disabled rss news feeds and it still runs the news feeds.... Yes it looks like the custom scrolling text for each emulator is not working Tom.
  22. I will as soon as I can get my butt in gear and get this theme I'm working on done as I've done so many revisions it's not funny ... cause for the long delay. I find many of them of course on youtube.
  23. Thanks Tom will check it out
