  1. Progress is coming along nicely and the new upgrades are looking sharp. Hopefully I can get this wrapped up in time for Christmas!
  2. Actually I did find a solution just put a duplicate of the image of the background you want and rename it to Theme_Background_"name of the background image" and it will show up in the Theme Editor.
  3. Tried a work around and that didn't work. At first I thought my image might be incorrect size but re-checked and it was correct.
  4. New issue with the updated Theme Editor! When I try to open and load a image into one of the emulator slots the theme editor crashes with this error. See the end of this message for details on invoking just-in-time (JIT) debugging instead of this dialog box. ************** Exception Text ************** System.NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object. at c.ae() at o.i(Object A_0, EventArgs A_1) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.OnClick(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Button.OnClick(EventArgs e) at System.Windows.Forms.Button.OnMouseUp(MouseEventArgs mevent) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WmMouseUp(Message& m, MouseButtons button, Int32 clicks) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.ButtonBase.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Button.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.OnMessage(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.Control.ControlNativeWindow.WndProc(Message& m) at System.Windows.Forms.NativeWindow.Callback(IntPtr hWnd, Int32 msg, IntPtr wparam, IntPtr lparam) ************** Loaded Assemblies ************** mscorlib Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.5448 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400) CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/Microsoft.NET/Framework/v2.0.50727/mscorlib.dll ---------------------------------------- ThemeEditor Assembly Version: 1.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 1.0.0.0 CodeBase: file:///C:/GameEx/ThemeEditor.exe ---------------------------------------- Microsoft.VisualBasic Assembly Version: 8.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 8.0.50727.5420 (Win7SP1.050727-5400) CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/assembly/GAC_MSIL/Microsoft.VisualBasic/8.0.0.0__b03f5f7f11d50a3a/Microsoft.VisualBasic.dll ---------------------------------------- System Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.5447 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400) CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System/2.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Windows.Forms Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.5446 (Win7SP1GDR.050727-5400) CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Windows.Forms/2.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Windows.Forms.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Drawing Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.5420 (Win7SP1.050727-5400) CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Drawing/2.0.0.0__b03f5f7f11d50a3a/System.Drawing.dll ---------------------------------------- System.Runtime.Remoting Assembly Version: 2.0.0.0 Win32 Version: 2.0.50727.5420 (Win7SP1.050727-5400) CodeBase: file:///C:/Windows/assembly/GAC_MSIL/System.Runtime.Remoting/2.0.0.0__b77a5c561934e089/System.Runtime.Remoting.dll ---------------------------------------- ************** JIT Debugging ************** To enable just-in-time (JIT) debugging, the .config file for this application or computer (machine.config) must have the jitDebugging value set in the system.windows.forms section. Well I just registered for Fraps tonight and soon will be creating my own snaps and vids for some of the more obscure systems I have. When I complete them and thats when I will since I'm still in the process of working on this theme I will be more than happy to share them on emumovies. Stay tuned

For some strange reason the Sega 32X wasn't d/l'ing (working) correctly via the Dowload Sevice Utility as it thinks I don't have any files even thou I do. So I has to manually d/l via FTP and rename them all manually.
  7. A Big Big thanks Tom and Ben for updating the Theme Editor!
  8. Back @ you all ... Happy Thanksgiving!! Time to go and eat some turkey fellas and watch the second football game.

How long does it normally take after signing up does anyone know before you get access?
  16. Do you have the new Theme Editor available over at Headsoft or do we need to wait for Tom to release it in the next version?
  17. Yeah I recently got the Fraps demo and was using that for my snaps. Looks like I'll be buying it soon enuff as I want to make in game videos as well.
  18. I might have too but that was never my goal for this project. I was seeing if I could actually make a theme and then see how close I could get it to mimicking the likes of Hyperspin. This theme draws it's inspiration from that if you couldn't tell already. I tried to kick it up a notch a bit as there are so many systems that are being emulated and GameEx is really easy to configure and setup compared to the other frontends if you ask me. So hopefully in the end and look back I can say it was a success. Mission Accomplished! Looks like I might have to stop posting pics as I might give away too much but I hopefully it will inspire other great theme designers to come up with even more killer themes and in the end all our systems will look bitchin! Everyone wins!!! What would be even cooler is actually seeing a youtube video that someone made with my theme running on there HTPC or arcade cabinet. That is better satisfaction then winning a contest in my books, but I wouldn't mind winning either. Looking forward to seeing what both you (Adultery) and Draco come up with next for sure.
  19. Ben also I noticed that not all images stretch to fill the image object so when it's displayed on the screen when you run GameEx it might be smaller than the actual box. Is there a way to have it stretch the image to fit the size the box you make it within the theme editor?
  20. Glad you guys are liking it. Here's another sneek peek at a few systems that I worked on today.
  21. Cool ... Thanks for the info will have to mess about with it sometime.
  22. I've never used WinUAE Loader before. Does it run CD32 games or was it meant more for WHD? I run all my Amiga and Amiga CD32 games via config files that are generated from WinUAE and it works perfectly. So just curious as to what kind of advantage you have running them via WinUAE Loader. If anyone is curious all I do is create my config files for each game in WinUAE then they are saved in the config folder which I have GameEx locate that folder within the setup wizard for the emulator. My config for Amiga games in the setup wizard looks like this: Command=""[ROMPath]\[RomFile]"" RomPath="your path to WinUAE configuration folder" ROMFilter=*.uae configFile=[Mapping Off] Exit (ALT+F4) That's essentially it. If that don't work for you you can also create shortcuts to each individual files and then change it to look like: Command=""[ROMPath]\[RomFile]"" RomPath="your path to WinUAE shortcuts" ROMFilter=*.lnk configFile=[Mapping Off] Exit (ALT+F4) Hope this helps anyone wanting to setup WinUAE.
