  1. I can't help with the dmdext mirroring stuff, but; On a two screen setup you can disable the DMD screen again in PinballX settings, i don't think it'll add anything for you except add a bit more GPU/CPU overhead. In game the DMD and backglass can use the same screen, then PinballX can record both together when creating a backglass video for use in the front end.
  2. Audio files go in the PinballX\Media\Visual Pinball\Table Audio folder. Have a look at this thread Table sound when browsing tables - PinballX Media Projects - Spesoft Forums (gameex.com), or download the files from the Gameex FTP site. Files need to named to match your table name, if you download using Database Manager then the files will be renamed and placed in the correct location for you (i think that is also the case with Game Manager). The FTP site is free to all users these days
  3. Have a look at Terry Reds guides - https://mega.nz/folder/WVgyXZZa#1KAqkmcXA2eJS7aHZijrRQ and [GUIDE] How Future Pinball "should" be setup for BAM, DOFLinx & Pinball X! - FAQs, Guides, & Other Useful Information - Spesoft Forums (gameex.com) You need to go through and check the FP install step by step. From the 'mega' guide amongst other things; • FPLoader.exe may need to be Run as Administrator the first time you run FP (to create settings files for BAM, etc). Afterward make sure you change this back so FPLoader.exe is NOT Run as Administrator! • the FuturePinball.exe must NEVER be set to Run as Administrator! • If you are having crashing problems, try to set FPLoader.exe in BAM folder to Windows 8 Compatibility mode and see if it helps (if it doesn’t then set this back)
  4. Sorry, playfield audio recording is not a feature i use in PbxRecorder so no idea.
  5. If you don't have a real DMD then you want to use the --virtual-stay-on-top parameter not the --no-virtual option like Mike says, also i don't think you should place dmdevice in the PinballX folder either when using a virtual DMD (i use virtual DMD on a 3rd screen and i haven't) I don't use FX3, but i assume the pac key is the same as the vni.key (see first post https://vpuniverse.com/forums/topic/9051-new-release-v220-final/), and what i think is the discussion Mike mentioned is in the beta testing thread posts around here, https://vpuniverse.com/forums/topic/8845-new-release-v220-beta2/?do=findComment&comment=74143
  6. I think audio was added in PbxRecorder V1.9, so you may have to record without audio as you did in V1.6 (and then use table audio files as well). @jejegameex might be able to assist further, but i don't think your sound card is compatible with audio capture from PbxRecorder.
  7. Maybe your sound card / drivers do not support stereo mix, what do you see with disabled devices shown in the sound settings recording pane? Try recording without playfield audio selected and see if that works.
  8. PBXRecorder has its own log file (same location as the exe), check that, it should log where the files are being created. If you overwrote your PBXrecorder.ini file and don't have PinballX installed in C:\PinballX then that might be the issue as PBXRecorder defaults to that location (if that is the case update the PinballX install location when starting PBXRecorder).
  9. Please attach your PinballX Log\Log.txt & Config\PinballX.ini files (make sure the log is after launching a FP table). Might be a compatibility setting somewhere (PinballX or FP set to run as admin or legacy windows mode) or the FP launch parameters. We need to see those files to check the launch parameters or for errors first.
  10. https://forums.gameex.com/forums/topic/28516-pbx-recorder-captures-playfield-backglass-and-dmd-videos-and-images/?do=findComment&comment=195930 Works for me. What isn't valid for you, the link or the attachment?
  11. See atachement in this post;
  12. To keep showing media on a screen after a table is launched you need to set that (per table) in either Game Manager or PinballX Database Manager (whichever one you're using). In Game Manager select the game, and uncheck 'Hide Backglass', if using Database Manager select the game and uncheck 'Hide backglass during game' to keep showing backglass media after table launch.

    DMD

Sorry, after you restore your backup can you check and see if it's in your Visual Pinball folder (after the usual launch of Mandalorian from PinballX). If it is attach that, the FlexDMD.log file from the same location and the PinballX log.txt file (and also let us know if Genie was disabled during the test). Do the 3 problem tables have anything in common, are they all pup pack tables?

    DMD

It may be unrelated (probably is). Do you know when the problem started (or was it just always the case with some tables?) Hold off on that for now Please do this; Why? I want to see if it does clear that Genie bit from the PinballX log or not I really want to see the dmdevice.log file after the issue @duv67 a couple of other things to confirm please. Is PinballX running under any windows compatibility mode, and im windows display options are you running with scaling set to 100% (see https://forums.gameex.com/forums/topic/27475-flexdmd-problem-with-pinballx/?do=findComment&comment=211382)

    DMD

Thanks for the files and images. Not seen the virtual DMD show up like in your image before, stranger still as the flexdmd log looks like it's working ok. One thing stands out though, what is this app? Is that a Norton icon? Normally i'd ignore it but the PinballX log is still showing; 09:48:44.15 20/10/2023: Found PinMAME ROM: genie .. and that's after launching mandalorian which doesn't use a rom. Can you try disabling 'Genie' and try again (launch Manadalorian from PinballX), and attach a new pinballx log.txt file as well as the DmdDevice.log file from the vpinmame folder (not the DmdDevice.log.config file)

    DMD

Good point, i can't remember what the attachment file size limit is, pictures would probably do instead. Launch Mandalorian from PinballX, then ALT+TAB take a picture, then try and set focus to the virtual DMD take a picture then too (is the DMD visible anywhere, if it is is it black?). Please also attach the Pinballx log.txt file and the FlexDMD.log file (from your visual pinball folder) and your dmddevice.log and dmddevice.ini files from your visual pinball\vpnimame folder, after that table launch and exit. Strange issue!
  17. Yes, please post your log\log.txt and config\pinballx.ini files. For the mouse cursor, in settings.exe go into Display Settings and set 'Hide mouse cursor' to No while troubleshooting. You can then set it back if you want to once things are stable.
  18. A few more for the new SpongeBob table update, thanks VPW Take your pick. Not in main pack yet, so right click and save as for now.
  19. @Redwings13 Can you also let us know the exact version of VPX 10.8 you're running. Direct X or GL version and revision number (is it the latest?) It is still in beta (i haven't updated my cab to it yet) so some things may change before full release anyway and even between beta versions. It might be something @Tom Speirs needs to be aware of because of the potential difference in how the two different versions behave now, or something that could be addressed in VPX (via a github bug report). The PinballX log and ini files will help us see if there's anything obvious there, please attach two log file copies after launching a VPX 10.8 table, one with exclusive fullscreen set in VPX and one without.
  20. Does everything work (except with a focus issue) if you remove the '-EnableTrueFullscreen' from the launch parameters? Also, what version of Visual Pinball do you have installed, is it a 10.8 beta version and if so is it the DirectX or the OpenGL version? The ini file shows that the PinballX full screen hack for VPX is enabled, but this does not show in the log so possibly PinballX isn't recognising the fullscreen mode of VPX.
  21. I don't understand why PinballX would now crash on table exit with what appears to be a DirectX issue. Follow the advice in Mikes link above to try and fix it. Out of interest, if you remove the '-EnableTrueFullscreen' from the Visual Pinball launch parameters does the error still occur? (but you then return to having a focus issue)
  22. Please attach new copies of your PinballX.ini and log.txt files (make sure the log.txt file is after exiting a table and PinballX closing)
  23. Try changing your Visual Pinball launch parameters in PinballX to; Parameters=-EnableTrueFullscreen -Minimized /Play -"[TABLEPATH]\[TABLEFILE]" (If editing in Settings exe rather than directly in the ini file remove the 'Paramters=' bit)

    DMD

That changes things.. i thought the DMD window wasn't appearing at all! Yes there is (assuming external dmd / freezy / dmddevice is being used to display the DMD rather than vpinmame). This section in the dmddevice.ini file, set it to true; ; virtual dmd stays on top of all other windows stayontop = false Another option if the DMD is still behind the backglass (if you're on a newer version of B2S server) is to use the 'B2SWindowPunch', see https://github.com/vpinball/b2s-backglass/wiki/B2SWindowPunch for details
