  1. Does the Vista Code Pack work on Windows 7? Cuz they do have a Windows 7 codec pack as well which is what I use. I don't see why they would have a Windows 7 codec pack if the Vista one works.
  2. Search brought me here! So to answer your question, yes it is supported. As far as getting them to work will be down to your codec pack used in your system. Please give more info on your setup.
  3. Happy Birthday day and Happy Halloween! Enjoy buddy! Save us some candy. My kid is all grown up so I don't get any anymore. LOL.
  4. I directed Tom to this thread. Hopefully something can be resolved. Thanks for the report guys. This is something I personally haven't encountered. Nice to see ya Matt!
  5. Correct! That would be the only time it would be needed.
  6. Why do these emulators need an advanced config anyways? Why not simply set the Map Keys to Yes in Emulator Setup?
  7. I'm not understanding exactly what you mean. Can you give more detail please? Maybe a screenshot? What is it that you can't configure? If you click on the dropbox in the Select Daphne Game setting in the Daphne section, the game can be changed also giving the ability to change the settings for that game.
  8. Maybe try setting Use 16 Bit Colour to Yes in Display Settings? If not then as mentioned this is usually due to a driver issue.
  9. Thanks Tom!
  10. Is the command-line not being sent to include the bezels? Is Setup Wizard not saving the setting? Providing both the log and the GameEx.ini file will show us this and help us to troubleshoot. I'll do some testing on my end to see if Setup Wizard is not applying the setting.

What version of MAME are you running? Does your romset match that version? Have you verified your romset with a rom manager? Have you tried to play a game outside of GameEx? Please provide more info. I will be in chat (link found on top of forums) for awhile if you want real-time support.

Same time? That was 3 minutes later! And you also edited your post. LOL. But yes, MAME is doing a good job of eliminating the need for other emulators. NonMAME is my source of choice to see what games are not working in MAME yet to determine if an other emulator is recommended. These are the games listed there: Knights Of Valor (Version 100) (Japanese Board) Knights Of Valor (Version 115) Knights Of Valor (Version 117)

When dealing with Arcade emulators other than MAME, usually a MAP file is used to show all the roms and to list them in a friendly manner in GameEx. Then just point to the Map File setting in Advanced Emulator Setup section of Setup Wizard. I have done the work and generated this file for the community. It can found here or also can be found in my signature. If this is not the result you're after then please give more info.
  14. MAP files are generated by GameEx in the DATA folder of your GameEx install based on the files in the rom directory. So in your case, prune out the games that are not used by that emulator and paste them into another map file accordingly and also save the edited one as a different filename. The files are named EMU_#.map, # being the emulator number slot in Setup Wizard. To use one that is created by a user or yourself, simply point to it in the Advanced Emulator Setup section, setting MAP File in Setup Wizard.
  15. Yes it uses their API but it's something Tom will do in code to accommodate the new API for future releases.
  16. By 'additional programs' do you mean "More Games & Programs"? If so then if none of the features are enabled in that section then it won't show up. So if running GameEx Lite all the features will be turned off but one by default. That feature is "Show Start Screensaver" found in the Enable/Disable Features of setup. Turning it to No will keep it from showing on the list and therefore will keep "More Games & Programs" from showing on the list as well.
  17. How long is it staying there? An update to the list can sometimes take awhile depending on filters. So maybe it's just needing to be given more time to actually update. If not then please provide more info. A log would be helpful. How to post a log can be found on the stickied topic How to ask for Help on the top of the forums.
  18. Should be located in the ctrlr folder of your MAME install.
  19. Also xarcade has a controller config that can be pointed to via command-line or the mame.ini file and is already configured with standard control.
  20. Good deal! Marking as resolved!
  21. Thanks Tom!
  22. Thanks Tom and Jeremy!
  23. Can you point to Adultery's instructions to the OP that you're speaking of?
  24. Was an upgrade perhaps performed that maybe reset the settings? May want to check out the GameEx.UpgradeBackup.ini file found in the CONFIG directory of your GameEx setup. See if maybe your settings are there and then can simply rename the file to GameEx.ini to restore your settings.
  25. Welcome to the forums! Something must be wrong with the command-line. Best way is to troubleshoot on your own as it will be a faster turn around. Follow step 4B in the How to ask for Help pinned topic. This will show the command-line window and will show useful info on what's wrong. If it's something that is confusing then please post the outcome of the window after following that step.
