  1. You could always just build a set based on those filters to make it simple using a rom management program. Also since the filters can only do so much, you can also just make a map file to include the roms you want in the list. Take a look at Tempest's Map File Magician. It can help with making a map file to your liking.
  2. Resolved! User's old settings were conflicting. Since messui is no longer included, it's best to install the newer versions fresh instead of on top of older versions unless settings are needed. Just creates conflicts with ui settings.
  3. Meet in chat room for real-time support please.
  4. So are your roms(bioses) being pointed to in the MESS.ini file or are they located in the ROMS folder of your MESS install?
  5. Sorry but I don't understand what showing MESS run MESS but MESS can't find the rom path? I only see issue with one of the command-lines as I haven't dug further. Do you have the MESS roms(bioses) matching your MESS version? Please give more detail. Maybe run in debug mode so that the console window will show up and give you more details about why it's not working.
  6. Which systems please? Also please post your configs.
  7. There were some commands that are no longer needed with recent updates but it would be very helpful to see the command-lines you currently have. Please post them so we can troubleshoot.
  8. There's posts dating back all the way to 2008 about this. So it's been around for a long time. I would have to do some serious detective work to find out what version it was introduced. But it's a common question that could be found using search and am surprised that it was unknown. As far as where it is documented, probably the best place would be Default Controls section on GameEx's website. Here is the exact part I'm referring to. Default ControlsDon't exit Attract mode3, 5 or 63, 5 or 6Button 6Credit 1 or Credit 2
  9. Yes. That is correct!
  10. Thanks Tom!
  11. Good deal! Glad you got it sorted out. Enjoy! Marking as resolved.
  12. Thanks Tom!
  13. Also why not resort to a map file to list all your games on the network to reduce loading times as mentioned in the FAQ?
  14. May wanna check out the feature created awhile back where you can highlight missing games by a certain color. Tempest's application called Map File Magician has such a feature: May be something to check out. This application will create the map file for you with the missing roms tagged so GameEx knows to highlight them.
  15. You can see what version you have by reading the log file, can also be found in the Programs and Features list in Control Panel, or by clicking the question mark button on the toolbar.
  16. Definitely a false positive. I would just add it to your white list so that it's excluded from your Anti-virus interfering from working correctly. Here's the results of the file according to VirusTotal!
  17. Thanks Tom!
  18. Set ShowDesktop=False. That will help in hiding the window if in fact you have fullscreen setup correctly for this emulator. Another thing to try if that still doesn't give you the results you're after is to make sure the emulator closes correctly by using and advanced config.
  19. Yay. Glad you got it sorted out. Thanks for the info as well for future reference.
  20. No genius here. LOL. Didn't get to figure that one out due to lack of time and I had to step out for a moment. logik1 is the genius there.
  21. Indeed! A much needed feature according to many posts in the past. No more combining them.
  22. I'm in the chat room for real-time support if you're interested? It's link can be found on the top of the forums. I'll hang out there for awhile and maybe we can troubleshoot and get you fixed up.
  23. Thanks for the update!
  24. No problem. Marking as resolved. Welcome to the forums! Enjoy!
  25. The mame.ini file which should be located in your MAME directory. This file is used to make settings in the file instead of from the command-line. This file can be created by using the following from command prompt: mame.exe -cc Or as bkenobi suggested, simply add that to MAME Options setting found in the Advance MAME Settings in the MAME Settings section of Setup Wizard.
