This particular system is weird. I believe it's cuz of the unknown format in which these games are ripped. This emulator handles cue files better than iso images. I found that some games wouldn't load by just mounting the iso but mounting the cue instead. Would make sense to me if that's how you want it to run (sending enter I mean).
-
You need to fix your quotes in the run before and after. Copy and paste to avoid errors. I highlighted in red to show what you need to fix. And in case you don't see it cuz it's a small fix you need to start with quotes.
-
Very well could be a timing issue as I get errors loading zipped ISO's as well but run fine when they are not zipped. Tom will have to take a look at this. Best is to just keep unzipped to avoid issues.

That looks like the standard INI that use to come with GameEx. Have you verified all those paths? Is that how you have it all set up? Also your Launch before is incorrect. Should be as follows: "C:\program files\Daemon Tools\daemon.exe" -mount 0,"[rompath]\[romname]" Launch after: "C:\program files\Daemon Tools\daemon.exe" -unmount 0 Command: pce.exe "syscard3.pce" Basically that whole setup looks incorrect. Please go through everything and set all paths to match the locations of your setup.
-
Ok then please post your config. LOL. Follow Tempest's informative Topic here and follow step one.
-
Actually I wanted your emulator config. But nevermind. LOL. Is G: the drive Daemon is mounting on?
-
starbuck! Post your emulator config. Not your log!
-
After more and more testing with more games I find that It's just best to use daemon tools for this emulator. Then you can use the cue file. Some games I've tried to run will run using VirtualCloneDrive but some don't and yet still work in Daemon.
-
How are you loading the games? From command-line or from the GUI selecting BOOT CD?
-
I need more info than that. Please post your config!
-
What else did you change? You had it working before. Any errors when loading the game? Give more detail on what it's doing.
-
Daemon will mount the cue and VirtualCloneDrive will not work with the cue! You have to mount the ISO or just continue to use Daemon.
-
Emulator Setup >>> Advanced Config: See if it's using one and if it is then open it and see if "H" is being mapped anywhere. The file can be found in the CONFIG\EMULATORS directory of your GameEx install. Maybe just turn it off to test if it's using one. Other than that I wouldn't know what else you have running that would map it to something else. You say it's only when using GameEx so you must be mapping something. Maybe post your config so we can see what's going on.
-
VirtualCloneDrive doesn't mount the image using the cue. You have to mount the ISO for it to work.
-
I tested and didn't have this problem. Only thing I can think of is that you have "H" mapped some how. Maybe an advanced config or something.
-
I'm not Tom but no this will not interfere with anything unless you want it to run and specify it in the command-line.
-
I don't know Tom! All works for me with the exe I mentioned. Second run I got it to 5 seconds. First run was 6 seconds. So it's a huge increase in speed than I was getting before.
-
LMAO. You can save where ever you want! Post some code? My code wouldn't match yours. Think about it! Let's compare to an emulator. In an emulator sometimes it generates the ini settings file after it's first ran. Where does this come from? From the code itself. No need for me to talk smack. My scripting skills will speak for itself. Maybe you should go learn some more before you talk smack!
-
Of course you have to tell it what drive you use. See above post! If it's mounted and in the list then you're obviously not telling it where the mounted image is.
-
Double check the paths and make sure everything is correct. Maybe something got accidentally changed. Also where are you having them displayed? Mame? Separate emulator? Please give more details.
-
Not sure of it's possible to combine into 1 Image but do know it's very possible to just script a wrapper to handle swapping the disc when there are more than 1 needed.

Is this another one to handle the time of caching?
-
That is the correct command-line and is working. If it's loading to the cd player then it's obviously not reading that game right. Might have to do with your "syscard3.pce" issue maybe. Do you have that file in the emulator directory or are you pointing to it in the pce.ini file? That file is required for booting the game. The second command-line you have is incorrect. If it's not calling the correct drive letter then make that change in the pce.ini. # ---- # cd-rom settings # ---- # [cdrom] ; ; CD-ROM drive ; -- ; 1 -> first CD-ROM drive [default] ; 2 -> second CD-ROM drive ; ... ; drive= ; ; CD-ROM drive letter ; -- ; (Windows 2000/XP only) ; ; D: ; E: ; ... ; drive_letter=[color="#FF0000"]M:[/color]

Would mean to put in your script vs having to call it from an outside ini or file.
