  1. I would say that's the truth for lots of us!
  2. If downloaded from their respective homepages then I would believe them to be false positives. I wouldn't worry about them unless you downloaded from somewhere else. They're emulators we all use so we know them to be safe.
  3. I don't care about this topic! LOL Glad it's workin Chriss. At least maybe those settings can give Tom an idea. But at least your karaoke parties can continue.

    Zinc Options

I say the best option for ZiNc is to set it up as an emulator. I have it setup both ways (GameEx integration and as an emulator) and I find you have more control to just set up as an emulator. It will not give you the great integration as it does in GameEx but it will give you the results you need to make it work the way you're wanting. I always say script it! It's just easy to do and it makes things work. I'm sure Tom can make some of these changes but I personally would just make a wrapper for the time being.
  5. Mednafen works pretty well. It's what I'm using currently. Although I can't vouch on compatibility for it as I've only played a few games. But those games did run without any issues. I highly recommend mednafen.
  6. Thank you for your explanation and your involvement in this project. It has been a great addition for us.
  7. I haven't used oswan in a long time but I remember there being 2 different ones. The one you're referring to didn't have a CLI that I could remember. I know there was a hacked version out there for this version that gave it a CLI. There's another version 1.7.3 that did have one. I suggest updating or maybe giving mednafen a try. It's what I've been using since I stopped using oswan. I could be wrong about this so don't hold me to it.
  8. The drop down menu next to Advanced Config is to select which config to use. Use the one you saved or use one of the ones already created and edit that one.
  9. Sorry. I don't use InstantSheller on my system so I don't know about that. Maybe someone with experience with it will jump in. You can also just access the editor from within GameEx. More Games & Programs >>> Configuration >>> Then just select the emulator your after and look on page 3 on there as well.
  10. Run the GameEx Advanced Config Editor in the link I told ya to follow. Headkaze describes how to access it there. Then click on the Game Pad Exit tab. There's a list of buttons. Double click on the button(s) you want to use to escape the emulator and it will show a drop down menu and you select true for each button. So according to what you're telling me you would select true for buttons 2 & 3.
  11. I would recommend using the built-in Advanced Config Editor described here. Take a look at it. It will give you the results you're after. The Game Pad Exit tab is what you're looking for.

    Error O.o

Looks like it errors out cuz of MAME. Please verify paths and also verify the name of the executable.
  13. Emulation for the 7800 is great in MESS. It is the emulator of my choice as well. But there are many emulators out there for different systems and not all of us use the same ones because of different preferences. To each his/her own.
  14. Yeah! It's a tricky one. It's also known as "Service Mode".
  15. {F2}. Can be found here and can also be found all over the FAQ section of MAME's site.
  16. Ok. Here's what I came up with. When launching with command line parameters it doesn't use the ProSystem.ini that it uses when launching without parameters. This i'm sure you have discovered and which is why it's not loading your joystick setup. Here's the fix. Just run from command line and setup your joystick again and it will work from then on.
  17. Unfortunately Nologic is no longer a part of this community. Give me till later today and I'll take a look at it for you.
  18. Thanks again guys!
  19. Yes 9.73 is the latest and both Tekken 3 and Ehrgiez are confirmed to be working and loaded by ZiNc.
  20. Thanks Tom for the quick fix! In the future if a game does not load up in ZiNc using the integration then please post for Tom to see so he can update GameEx.
  21. Take a look at an advanced config found in the CONFIG\EMULATORS directory of your GameEx install. GameEx has a mouse mapping feature you could also try. [MOUSEMAPPING] # For registered users, the ability to control the mouse with a gamepad and/or directional keys. # For example for PC strategy games. # Apparantly this functionality is similar to the software Pinnacle profiler. Remember you can setup an emulator # as one PC game. Specify enabled, and mousespeed 0-20. 20 Being fastest. This setting overrides the directional # mapping for the above and buttons 1 and 2 Button 1/CTRL becomes left mouse. Button 2/ALT Right mouse MouseMappingEnabled=False MouseSpeed=0
  22. If a game does not load in Zinc using the integration feature of GameEx then it's something that Tom needs to change in code. It has been brought to his attention. So Tekken 3 and Ehrgiez are the 2 games that need to be fixed correct? No need to go through all this.
  23. Thanks guys!
  24. Have you verified your paths to make sure nothing was changed?
  25. LOL. K. If not then zip up your nestopia.xml and upload it here so I can have a look-see.
