  1. These are unique for each emulator. If rename the "Cartridge" or "Box Art" then those would be global and would affect all emulators. So Custom Art is the way to go and will give the wanted results.
  2. Can use the custom art section instead. If you look in GameEx Configuration and open up your emulator, on page 4 there are options for custom art paths and can name the selection what you want. That should give you the results you're after.
  3. Builds the map and now everything left of the delimiter is used to run. C:\roms\rom.zip "Description" Note: "|" delimiter is no longer used.
  4. Unfortunately I've never come across a solution for this myself. It makes things more complicated as the input files saved after configuring your controls are not in a user-friendly format. All I can think of trying is maybe to configure one game and copy the file to match the name of the rom name. It's a little work to do manually unless you know how to script and can make it easy. It's not a guarantee solution but maybe worth a try after testing a few.
  5. Junk! Thanks for the heads up The T! Unfortunately I guess you'll have to resort to other options Cinemastique.
  6. OpenOffice should work just fine from what I remember. It handles databases. Hard for me to test since don't use it but try opening it up and if you can read it then can likely edit and save it as well.
  7. The Advanced Config option is actually found in either of GameEx's backends (i.e. Advanced Configuration or Setup Wizard)
  8. Simple fix for this would be to use a map file and only use what's in the folder you want and strip out the rest of the data. If you open the newly created map file generated by GameEx than it's easy to just delete what you want since everything is in order. Meaning folder and then sub-folders for example: Roms | A (which is Roms\A) | B (which is Roms\ So can easily just click and drag from A folder on and delete.
  9. Turn mapping off but still use an advanced config. Then just map the keys you want to exit and select the exit method. All this can be accomplished by using the advanced config editor which can be accessed by the button located in the advanced config section of either setup.
  10. Edit the names and/or summaries but yet they're not the Rom names, and not the Display names. So not sure what you mean by this. Summaries about the games are located in the databases found in the DATA\EMULATORS directory of your GameEx install. The names that are displayed in GameEx are located in the map files located in the DATA directory.
  11. Thanks Tom for this release! These are great changes to GameEx!
  12. I don't use iTunes myself cuz I don't care for it but you shouldn't have any problems. GameEx can run anything and everything. Just takes some tweaking sometimes to make things work that weren't designed to work so simple. That's where scripting comes in, mapping keys, etc.
  13. Works fine for me as well and I have ZiNc setup integrated and as an emulator. Maybe give some details so we can see where your problem lies.
  14. Sorry chriss! I had found some info for you the day you asked but never got a chance to post. And of course not at that computer so give me some time to find it again (if I can).
  15. Gens32 is not bad but IMO I'm more pleased with Kega Fusion. It's an all around emulator for sega systems and runs them all well which is why I chose it. It's also rated higher than Gens32 in lots of the emulation sites I've encountered. Give it a try. Won't be disappointed.
  16. Starts much faster IMO.
  17. LOL. Unless the house is free then you really didn't throw in a thousand bucks!
  18. Good luck to all those who are entering. And a special thanks to Tom and Circo for their great offers!
  19. Those systems run well depending on your hardware. But they are emulated. Follow the sources suggested by Tempest. As far as what you wanna add to your emulation box, that's up to you. I personally try to emulate every system that's available. I only have 53 systems setup at the moment but have lots of work to do to get them all going. Just have been too lazy and I'm usually here helping then working on my own as many of us do. So load up your emulation box and have some fun!
  20. Probably can't upload to forum due to it's size.

    VIRTUALDRIVE

Are you telling the emulator to use that drive as well? In SSF: Option >> Option >> Peripheral Tab >> CD Drive
  22. Everything looks fine! Maybe try a manual install to the current version and see if that fixes it.
  23. I would say there's something that you need to change. You made a blank post! LOL.
  24. No problem! Have fun!
  25. Tempest's suggestion is a good source. There are others out there but unfortunately they can not be linked here due to the rules. Just give it a try and if you get stuck then post in the forums and we'll help you out. Clrmame is confusing at first but once you understand it, it's pretty easy. It's a tool I use daily. If you're after another tool which is a little more simple then you might wanna try RomCenter. What you're wanting to do is rebuild your set to the current version using the dat found here.
