  1. Post your log as well as your gameex.ini so we can look further into your current settings and see what's going on.
  2. The only setting I know that gives sound a small boost is the Overdrive setting found in the Sound Menu Item. Just check it and it will write to the Fusion.ini and set the SoundOverdrive=1. If that doesn't work for you then the only solution is to script something to handle the volume for you as Tempest suggested.
  3. Didn't see ya around at the time so figured I'd answer so E-T didn't have to wait. Usually would not answer if I saw ya there.
  4. Just copy the new compiled version over the current one and point GameEx to it (I'm sure if you have it working then you already have this done). Yes you will still be able to press tab and access the usual settings. IMO = In My Opinion
  5. Those two are listed because by default, GameEx has those in the Don't Filter these ROMS setting found in Advanced MAME Settings. It has to do will your filters. Maybe wanna set the setting Only Existing Roms to Yes.
  6. Good deal! Have fun!
  7. This was just discussed here for reference. Try the following command-line please: neoraine32.exe -nogui "[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]" In your current setup, the rom is never specified so therefore never being loaded. The above command-line should correct this issue.
  8. Thanks Tom!
  9. Thanks Tom!
  10. Just tested and used the site you're using and had no issues on my end. If it's not working with either of the other sites then don't know what else it could be. Are you sure GameEx has permissions to access the internet?
  11. Logs are created automatically when GameEx is launched. Run GameEx and duplicate the steps you have before where this issue occurs. Then browse to the LOG directory of your GameEx install and post the contents of the log.txt file.
  12. Thanks for the post Michael! Post in the User Submitted Configs thread that's stickied so that it doesn't get lost.
  13. Are they bin\cue images? According to the help file: and I suggest ripping your games to the supported image type as I don't believe bin images work within nullDC. I could be wrong though. Can't test on my end since all my images are supported types.
  14. Found on page 3 of both GameEx Configuration and GameEx Setup Wizard in the Enable\Disable Features. The option is the last option named Enable All Games List. You want to set it to No to hide. Fatone85 was correct as far as the location.
  15. Are you adding the -mouse switch to your MAME command-line? Can be found in the Advanced MAME Settings section under MAME Options. Or can enable it in the mame.ini by setting mouse to 1 if using mame.ini.
  16. Crossing fingers. Good luck! Keep us informed.

    Mameworld?

No. This is just the forum. If you look into it, it explains why mameworld.net is down. Hopefully will be up again soon. I remember this being discussed last year as well as the same thing supposedly happened.
  18. Post the contents of your log.txt (MagicEngine log) file either in a zip file or a codebox.
  19. Great job Circo! Thanks for all your hard work!
  20. Thanks for the new release Tom!
  21. Just got the New version now so will post the command here in a few. Still not gonna work with VirtualCloneDrive though, so if not wanting to use daemon tools then what mounting software you using?
  22. This was last discussed here. From my experience, Magic Engine only liked cue files which wasn't supported by VirtualCloneDrive. So using it won't work. Daemon Tools is the solution. Here's my config for reference. [Emulator_25] Enabled=True STARTPAGENAME=[Console] NEC TurboGrafx CD (MagicEngine) TITLETEXT=NEC TurboGrafx CD StartPageLogo=[Console] NEC TurboGrafx CD ROMFilter=*.cue RomPath=D:\Emulation\Roms\Other\NEC - TurboGrafx-CD RomsInFolders= SnapPath= TitlePath= BoxPath= CartPath= ManualPath= ControlPanelPath= InstructionsPath= WorkingPath=C:\Emulators\MagicEngine MapKeys=True WaitBeforeKeys= SendKeys= ReplaceDash=False ReplaceUnder=False Capitals=False RemoveBrackets=False ShowDesktop=True Debug=False MAPFile=D:\Emulation\Roms\Other\NEC - TurboGrafx-CD\[Console]NEC -TurboGrafx-CD.map AlsoLaunch= Command=pce.exe "syscard3.pce" LaunchBefore=""C:\Program Files\DAEMON Tools Lite\daemon.exe" -mount 0,"[ROMPATH]\[ROM]\[ROMFILE]"" LaunchAfter="C:\Program Files\DAEMON Tools Lite\daemon.exe" -unmount 0 configFile= ExcludedFiles= CustomBackground= PlayMusic=False DontShowInfo= PlaySelectionMusic=False SelectionMusicFolder= PCGame=False DATABASE= UseDbName= GamesIn7Zips=False PlayInScreenSaver=False ShowMostPlayed=True RandomMostPlayed=True CDCheck=False CDCheckFile= CustomArtName1= CustomArtPath1= CustomArtName2= CustomArtPath2= CustomArtName3= CustomArtPath3= [GENERAL] DumbyValue= Note that depending on your setup then your options might be different for Daemon Tools. Let us know if you need further assistance.
  23. I personally wouldn't use the nlite install since GameEx relies on certain things and hasn't worked for people in the past. So unless someone else has a solution on what to use than I would just use a normal install.
  24. If built to a known naming convention (i.e. GoodTools, No-Intro, Tosec) then the roms will have all the same file extensions most of the time. IMO I think it's best to have all roms zipped for space and also most emulators support zip files to avoid this problem. And if an emulator doesn't support it then it's great that GameEx supports it.
  25. Both extensions are actually supported. File extension sfc is used by No-Intro and smc is used by GoodTools.
