  1. So do I have to get a high score for this to show? Still unable to duplicate running the suggested games.
  2. Just tested and am unable to duplicate. Maybe try a fresh install of hitotext.
  3. No problem! Have fun!
  4. Actually won't help unless you want to do to it in MAME but you didn't ask for that.
  5. Actually changed the name of your files or the display names in GameEx?
  6. Could be hidden if you have it set to hide. In either GameEx Configuration or GameEx Setup Wizard the setting can be found in the Enable/Disable Features known as Hide Update List. If it is set to YES then it will be hidden. If it is set to NO then the update list in GameEx would be found in the main MAME page. If you click MAME from the MAIN menu of GameEx then it should appear on the bottom of the list unless of course you have it hidden as mentioned.
  7. For what system? If adding into an emulator than GameEx should recognize a change and add it for you. If not then there might be a problem with the way it's cached. If you're mean for MAME then you have to update your list found on the bottom of the page in the MAME section of GameEx.
  8. Actually this was introduced in 9.87 as mentioned.
  9. That's the way it's gonna work!
  10. My thoughts exactly! I would say this is the best feature for those. No more having to name your folders after your roms or having them all in one folder. And best to keep those in separate folders anyways IMO cuz some images have other files included with them and can get ugly having all in one folder.
  11. Ahhhh. Good deal! Well enjoy!
  12. Thanks Tom!
  13. Answer to 1 would be to script something. Could have it choose a different control layout based on what game is ran. That's a lot of work and something you'll have to put some time into. There are scriptor's here, including myself but I'm not willing to write it as it would take too much of my time but willing to help with the coding. So if you're willing to learn then I'm willing to help! This is just a tedious task IMO.
  14. No need to have it turned off if use your own map file. Again you're not giving details about the problems you're having.
  15. Give me the details of what you're wanting and I'll write you step-by-step instructions.
  16. LOL.
  17. Shouldn't be repeated in your list unless you have the same roms in different folders. How is your folder structure now? Actually this is a huge update. People have their directories in a certain way now cuz of the fact that GameEx never had sub-folder support. I'm sure it's an easy fix if you game more detail.
  18. Well no need for maps now if you just use correct filters since it will only display what you want and scan all subfolders. No way of choosing which subfolders are scanned for display unless you create your own map again. Just leave it the way you have it IMO.
  19. There is not a configurable setting. What kind of issues are you having?
  20. K. Sounds good!
  21. No problem! So GameEx will still generate the roms in sub-folders. So if the user doesn't want to use subfolder support than they can still use a map file that will include just the roms in the main folder? Also c:\roms\rom "description" method will no longer work, correct? Asking questions so I can change my Mapping application to handle the change.
  22. SSF runs on ISO. So what you have highlighted is where you would point to your ISO's. You could use Daemon Tools or even better the new Virtual drive feature. Command line should be: SSF.EXE[-VIRTUALDRIVE-] Note: Virtual Drive feature is a registered feature. If still planning on using daemon tools then you'll need to use the launch before and launch after lines. They're found everywhere in the forums. I would post but not near my computer at this time.
  23. So Tom! It now will just search the folders for the rom name? That still works! As far as using map files though, are they still handled the same or just need the rom "description" method again?
  24. This applies to Roms only. If wanted for these features than post in the request thread and if already there then I guess we have to wait for Tom to approve.
