  1. Nice! Thanks Tom!
  2. You really should build your roms to match this particular emulator. Using MAME roms might/can give errors. If you wanna chat then go to the chat room and we can talk on real time to troubleshoot. I'm sure it's something simple. Don't give up!
  3. ZiNc is working fine here on Windows 7. What kind of errors do you have running outside of GameEx? ZiNc sends it's output to the command window so I would start there first to see what's going on. One way of doing so is to run the runitgame.bat file and see what happens. Please give the details of the error or crash.
  4. Now follow my instructions per my first post. If you have a goodname set then use 7zip support or if not then just use the MergeSets setting.
  5. Yes. Makes sense. Sometimes I've seen this happen when the emulator doesn't close out cleanly. The solution is to make the change and set the file to read only so it doesn't rewrite it again. Or to use an advanced config to close it out with the correct key press. Another solution would be just to send Alt+Enter with the send keys setting in GameEx. Lots of possibilities there for you to toy with.
  6. Yes it is possible. Simply remap the "i" key to "ESCAPE" in the GameEx Advanced Config Editor app by headkaze by doing the following... Click on the General tab. Click on Enabled which will enable this config for use in GameEx. Click on Map Escape which will close the emulator process if ESCAPE is pressed. Click on Keyboard ReMap tab. Click on Enabled to enable in GameEx. Triple click on From Key and a dialog will popup asking to Press a key so there put "i". Triple click on To Key and same dialog will pop up and press "ESCAPE". Click File and Save As... (Save as your desired file name). Now in GameEx setup, click the drop down Advanced Config and select your saved config for use. Now when you press your "i" key then it will send "ESCAPE" to that emulator and close it's process. There's other settings in there that might need some tweaking but play around with that to get your desired results. That should give you something to start with. Let us know how that works out for you. There are other solutions to accomplish this but this is the most simple way and not having to use 3rd part apps to accomplish same effect.
  7. Should be working but let's take a look at what you have set. Please export your emulator config and post it's contents. Instructions on how to do so can be found here posted by one of our mods Tempest. As far as refreshing your list it should be automatic but if not then simply find out the emulator number and delete the EMU_#.map (# being the number of your emulator) file found in the DATA folder of your GameEx install location.
  8. Can set Map Keys to YES in GameEx setup. This will close the process if the Back or Escape keys are pressed and return focus back to GameEx. Another option is to used an Advanced Config and it can be configured to exit with desired keys or joystick buttons. Depends on your needs.
  9. Thanks Palmore! Nice to see continuous support. It's a great contribution to the community.
  10. Thanks Tom!
  11. A flag icon is used to distinguish between regions in GameEx. If a users set is in the GoodTools naming convention it will display the flag or a user can also set the Merge Sets setting to YES in the Emulator Setup section and the flag will also be displayed. This feature will work with No-Intro/GoodSet/TOSEC naming conventions. I believe these are both registered features. An example of how this looks can be found here.
  12. Please post your log so we can have a look.
  13. Can press Alt+Enter to enter fullscreen mode the first time and it adds the setting to the SSF.ini file so that it launches fullscreen every time. Or you can also just change the setting in the SSF.ini yourself. It can be found in the [screen] section and change the setting FullscreenDisplay="1".
  14. To me I would think that's a bigger fix to start new unless you had those roms on file. Either way you'll still have to update your roms unless your using 0.137 version of MAME to match.
  15. How to ask for help can be found here by one of our members, Tempest. It explains all the things that will be asked by us when needing help.
  16. Thanks for another release Tom!
  17. Run your runitgame.bat and see if you have any errors. Help on how to do so has been posted here by Tempest.
  18. Ahhh ok. Figured it was something else as I've never heard of the one you mentioned. As far as that emulator, I am unable to run under my system. Perhaps a Windows 7 thing. Are you running XP? The reason your roms won't work for the other emulators is because each emulator has their own romset. Sometimes the same roms can be used between Arcade systems but always best to have the required romset for that emulator. So either rebuild your set to those systems or give me time to test on an other system for the requirements of NEORageX.
  19. Please post your log!
  20. What's the exact name of the emulator as I'm unaware of one called that? Link to it if it doesn't contain any roms or get me the name so I can download and test. Until then I can't be more help until I know exactly what you're trying to do.
  21. What particular emulator are you running that acts like that? I have no issues running just neo-geo roms from either of the well known emulators. Not understanding the need for a batch file for a rom either. Please list the rom as well. Give all details so we can help troubleshoot.
  22. Glad you got it sorted out. Yup! A typo! As perfect as we all try to be around here even the best of us make mistakes.
  23. Thanks for all your work Circo!
  24. Thanks! Great job. Nice addition for the community. May I suggest posting to the pinned topic so that it's easier to find for the members? Thanks again. Keep up the good work.
  25. Try this: taskkill /im joytokey.exe
