  1. There is already a feature in GameEx that you can set so that GameEx doesn't display (Bracketed) info for the game list. It's in the Advanced MAME Settings under No Bracketed text.
  2. LOL. Only time I even run GameEx is for testing purposes, upgrades, or support. I don't ever play games. Not even for awhile. And I've been a member for over 2 years. LOL. Just a waste of time to be honest but a hobby and something that someone else can enjoy with all the work I put into it. Heck my cab is in storage. LOL. Have never ran it. I'd rather give to someone to enjoy since I've never used it. Cab was built from Mame Room. But oh well. I hope someday I'll get tired and actually sit down and play a game.
  3. Many thanks to Headkaze for this addition. The interface looks pretty cool.
  4. Good deal! No problem. That's what I'm here for. Enjoy!
  5. Just press tab in MAME and configure your controller for the buttons you're wanting to assign for those functions.
  6. What's happening is that GameEx is taking back focus cuz the bat file is what it's watching. Since the bat file is finished what it's doing then it doesn't know to watch Dolphin. The best way to do deal with it is to use an advanced config and have it watch for the Dolphin process as well. It's easy to figure out but if you need step by step then you can find some instructions I gave here.
  7. Nice. Love the look of the gui. Thanks for the update!
  8. This belongs in the feature requested stickied thread. Please post there. I'm sure this will be done by a mod but for future reference. Thank you!
  9. It should work given the fact that you followed the instructions found here. Considering you compiled, downloaded the highscore.dat found here, and created a sub folder named "hi" in the your MAME folder.
  10. Yeah. I'm pretty sure it uses one when setting up from GameEx instead of on your own. So setting up that emulator will apply the necessary map file. Glad you got it sorted out. As far as the Atari there are many emulators out there so might wanna try a different one since that one is giving you issues. Let us know if you have any other questions. Have fun!
  11. Well generally I just organize by emulator and have that emulator load all those roms since that's how they're built. But I have been wanting to organize my setup by system as well. So having as 2 separate emulators is the way to go. The info you sent doesn't really help me. Read Tempest's How to ask for help thread found here to export your emulator config so we can see exactly what you're doing for future reference. The map file lists all the roms for that system and not what you have. So again I suggest using the mame database instead of a map file. If the mame database doesn't work for you then I can generate a map file for you based off the roms in your folder. First try the database. If that doesn't give you the results you're after then tell me and I'll give you instructions on how to get me what I need to make you your map files.
  12. Thanks vsilvalopes! That might help but the user stripped down the clones so your list might not match. Best thing to do is use the MAME database and if that doesn't work with the name of roms then it's best to generate a map file based off just the files you physically have in your hard drive.
  13. What the looks of it then a MAP file is being called for the list and listing every game for that emulator. This might happen if using GameEx to download the emulator as well. Yes, when you get home post the configs so I can verify and we'll get you sorted out. Also I sent you a PM so check your inbox.
  14. Are you using a MAP file and that's how it's generating the name of the rom? If so then turn that off and try using the [Arcade] MAME database found in the Emulator Setup section. Or I can always whip up something for you to only list the games you have in your drive. Please be more specific how your loading these. As 2 different emulators? Maybe post some configs so I can see what you're doin.
  15. Taken from the BYOAC Forums: So applying these patches adds those features into MAME. This program makes it easy to do that and create your own version of MAME with those capabilities.
  16. Thanks for the update HK. This makes things even more simple for users who haven't compiled before. Just compiled again and experienced no issues where I had them before with the new version of MAME. Thanks again!

Currently this is the only way to list is by one big list. I too wish there were other options like other karaoke apps. If you have any suggestions then please feel free to put a request in the pinned topic. I only know of a select few karaoke people here so if you ever need any help then let us know. I know chriss including myself are big karaoke users around here.
  18. No problem! Have fun!
  19. Can add -skip_gameinfo to the command-line. I believe there's also a feature to do that in GameEx itself but I'm not on my machine so can't give an exact answer. But I believe it's in the Advanced MAME Settings section by setting Bypass Disclaimer/Warnings to Yes. Taken From the GameEx Website: If having problems compiling then post in the Mame Compiler topic the details of the issues you're having and someone can help you get that fixed.
  20. I suggest using HK's Mame Compiler. Info on it can be found here. It removes all nag screens, loading messages, and other info. The details of what it does can be found here. Some might be afraid to do this as it seems complicated but HK has made it a simple process with this great app.
  21. In Advanced MAME Settings on about the 4th page there's an input box where the rom should have been added there when deleted from GameEx. The setting is called Excluded ROMs. Just simply remove it and it will be added back to the list. Not sure if you have to rebuild the list again but don't think you do.
  22. No problem! Cool! That's about as close as it can get. Small world.
  23. No problem! Have fun!
  24. After downloading again and trying out, you can just disable the menu each time from the command-line. Taken from the help file. LOL. Your command-line should look as follows: ProSystem.exe -Fullscreen 1 -MenuEnabled 0 "[ROMPATH]\[ROMFILE]"
  25. Well since ESCAPE is mapped in the emulator as well and you're probably mapping ESCAPE to exit in GameEx then it will always do that. This emulator from what I remember doesn't have the option to switch that. So the best thing to do is use an advanced config to cleanly close out of the emulator instead of mapping the ESCAPE button. The [Mapping Off] Exit (ALT+F4) config should work just fine.
