  1. hmmm, slight chance you might be out of luck. I don't think there is a confirmed case where a user has gotten Pinball-X to work with a non-steam version. [PinballFX3] Enabled=True WorkingPath=C:\Pinball FX3 Executable=Pinball FX3.exe Parameters=-applaunch 442120 Process=Pinball FX3.exe Rotate=False It looks like you've set this up under the PBFX3 emulator per the thread above the support is actually for Steam versions only and will have to be setup as a seperate system. I am using the steam version, so I can't test this out for you.
  2. im sorry my apologies, i overlooked the part where you said cabinet mode is unlocked. you dont need to use the grid for cabinet mode, are you able to launch your tables now?
  3. download auto hotkey use this script dmdext_Path=c:\dmdext Run, %dmdext_Path%\dmdext.exe mirror --source=pinballfx3 --destination=pin2dmd --no-virtual -q,, Hide exitapp and set the executable up to launch before in your pbx pbfx3 settings, change you destination to whatever dmd you have. LaunchBeforeWaitForExit=True Create another ahk file, use this script Process, Close, dmdext.exe sleep, 1000 Process, Close, dmdext.exe exitapp set the executable up to launch this after in your pbx pbfx3 settings LaunchBeforeWaitForExit=True WaitFor=20 This will launch the app before and kill it afterwards, sometimes dmdext wont kill and multiple instances are left open. Also, i'm using borderless windowed, not windowed, that might help as well.
  4. What command are you using for dmdext and are you killing it after you exit the table with script?
  5. go to game manager, under each game there is a grid drop down, you have you set that grid location in sync with the tables in PBFX3.
  6. unblock dll, right click on the file, if you do not see unblock, the file is not blocked. or use powershell and enter dir -Path "enter path" - Recurse | Unblock-file that command will unblock all files in the folder. run as admin - right click on your .exe, go to compatability, check run as admin, then apply
  7. did you set your grid drop downs? Then ensure you select the grid positions of your installed games in the Game Manager. PinballX will then send keys to FX to navigate the games. Also, If your running a steam version your executable needs to be steam.exe, and you path needs to point to steam WorkingPath=C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam Executable=Steam.exe Parameters=-applaunch 442120 Process=Pinball FX3.exe If your runninng a non-steam or a steam version, you have to set all .exe's to run as admin, and make sure they are unblocked, in addition to your .dll files(these need to be unblocked as well. Access denied 10:28:43.3 01/11/2017: a System.Diagnostics.ProcessManager.OpenProcess(Int32 processId, Int32 access, Boolean throwIfExited) 10:28:43.3 01/11/2017: a System.Diagnostics.Process.GetProcessHandle(Int32 access, Boolean throwIfExited) 10:28:43.3 01/11/2017: a System.Diagnostics.Process.get_HasExited() 10:28:43.3 01/11/2017: a PinballX.Main.q() This is saying the file is being blocked by Windows 10.
  8. Ok I did some more research on this, the Devs have acknowledged the issue. Right now there is no know workaround. Hopefully they will add a don't remind tick mark in future releases. https://forum.zenstudios.com/showthread.php?18117-Steam-and-Pinballfx3-pincab
  9. post your pinballx ini and log files.... post the files, do not copy the contents into the post.
  10. Wouldn't @Carny_Priest suggestion fix your problem, have you tried to use the plugin? No dmd videos are needed for that. However this will only fix the issue for your Future Pinball tables.
  11. Ah ok, this was before my time, had no idea that existed. Pretty cool
  12. Sounds like @sparkie wants real high scores from the table to be displayed while browsing. Not sure how this would be possible as you would have to somehow access the table data during the scroll. @sparkie Future DMD is just a connector it doesn't store any data. Same for dmdext, and ultra dmd. One solution would be to record your dmds as videos and update them by table, sounds like a lot of work. Plus you have to take into consideration, not too many people sit and stare at table that long to even pay attention to whats on the dmd. A highscore wont be part of their table selection thought process. It will be oh look i wanna play that table, once they boot it up, the highscores are there to beat. Look up a software called rise-vision. You can create a scrolling database of your high scores by table and its easy to update....below is look at what it does http://forum.arcadecontrols.com/index.php/topic,140635.0.html
  13. You can't make the internal warnings of PBFX3 go away. Those will pop up from time to time, mainly by table on first run. Once you cancel or exit out of it the software acknowledges that you cancelled and it normally doesn't show up again. Once i played all 68 tables, I dont get those warnings anymore. This is part to being on steam, steam expects you to be on the internet, and so does the game. If you want to get rid of the PBFX3 error notifications altogether you might post this over at zen, theres probably a registry hack that will disable all error messaging notifications. The fix i gave you disabled the steam notification which was stopping my tables from loading. If the error/warning notification pops up just hit your plunger button and all good. It's just a warning, thats all.
  14. This sounds like a feature request and not an issue. @Draco1962 Your thoughts?
  15. set your pbfx3 to windowed mode instead of full screen.
  16. Yeah if your having to reboot windows then that is definitely a systems issue, so they wont come back by just rebooting pinball x? What you say might work, I had a weird scenario, where i had created my own dvd videos in .avi, it worked fine for about 2 months, and then PBX just started freezing whenever i selected a table that had my videos. I converted them all to .mp4 and its worked fine every since. Have no idea why .avi starting freezing up PBX out of nowhere. Yeah be very careful on doing updates, once you get you system running shut down the updates, otherwise any new updates could wreak havoc on your PC, especially if you've updated the registry, or make sure your creating lots of restore points. I lost alot of functionality when updating to that creator, took awhile to sort it all out. I found a setting to where Win10 no longer updates even when connected to the internet. However, some have the latest update and have no problems at all, so we all have the same cars just different engines with their own finicky ways.
  17. Any change you make while pbx is running requires a reboot of pbx..... Dunno, i'm using that exact same file and it pulls up fine for me. It's like the vets told me though man, these are system config issues, not file or front-end issues. In my setup i have the same file, with Fallout as the description and game name is Bethesda_Fallout, comes up just fine on my rig. set these to false and see if it show up. UseB2S=True
  18. Probably has something to do with the program looking for the b2s n the VP folder structure vs. the intended PBX media folders. If you want a workaround go with images or videos in your media folders and turn off the b2s. Tons of media out there, basically videos of the table backglasses. It's way more stable and will give you less headaches.
  19. Hello All, This tool will convert your directory contents into .txt files, great for audits. ptdirprn-setup.exe
  20. Try naming the media Fallout not Bethesda Fallout........match the media with the description not the game name.
  21. post your xml. What's your media file name for the game in your example? Are you sure the files are in the PBFX3 folder What folders do you have the files inside of the PBFX3 folder? Do your table videos work for other emulators, PBX, VP etc? Try renaming one of your videos as a VPX table place it in the VPX media folder and see if it plays for you. Are the images folders empty? Did you make your own videos or are the from the community, FTP? Also, I find the attached program very useful. It prints your directory to a .txt file, so you can manipulate in excel or word, in case you ever need to get a full list of your games from your directories. ptdirprn-setup.exe
  22. Yep, I know i'm going with this no logo look.
