  1. @Felix - All game themes are good. My setup has never looked better. My kids and their friends are actually playing old school games because of this great theme. @Krakerman I plan on getting all the default themes done ASAP. I need for you to put them on your download page so as I make new paks I can delete my old ones. GameEx only allows me 25 megs of upload, so I will run out of upload space long before I reach "Z". @Krakerman and Felix. Neither of you should have to include map files in your paks now as users can use the one I uploaded. Unless you want to do games not in the Hyperspin map file. In that case, we can add them to my map file and them all use it.
  2. @ Krakerman - Your new game themes look great. Each pak is making this theme stand out more and more.
  3. Thanks Felix. Yes very time comsuming. I'm also not the one for the batch script. Perhaps Adultry ot Tempest might be willing to give their expertise. They could use the map file I made and make them all in quick order. if a placeholder was made for the various systems, I think a lot of users would contribute their time to make game themes as you are doing.
  4. I would like to make a small contribution to Krakerman's excellent theme. Attached is a map file that includes all 648 Hyperspin roms. These are named as Krakerman is naming his game themes. Using the default theme that Felix make. I've started making default themes for all 648 roms that have not already been done by Krakerman. Attatched is the map file and paks for games 0-9 and games starting with "A". I will work to complete them all so that Krakerman theme will display a game theme for all the games in the map file. As Krakerman and others make new themes, the default screens can be written over.
  5. @RIP-Felix, that cool. I'm sure Krakerman appreciates any help he can get. I had a thought. Could a generic theme be created that shows box art that says coming soon. One could take that theme and rename it to any of the 2600 games in the database. The game theme would open for that game showing boxart saying coming soon, but still play the correct movie. In fact, one could duplicate that theme for all the games in the 2600 database. A user would know what games still need themes made because the game would show the generic theme when played in GameEX. This way all games would be avaulable for play until a game theme is made for each of them.
  6. Excellent work guys. i see alot of 2600 game themes coming on the horizon. Might I suggest anyone wanting to do themes for Gameroom run them thru Krakerman so that we have one depository and one map file. He can release the paks and map file as he gets or makes enough for each set.
  7. Looks good RIP-Felix. I'm sure Krakerman can use the help. Looks like we may be getting paks done a lot quicker. Krakerman., your new themes look great.
  8. Thank you for the new 2600 pak. Could you post the NES theme and map file please when you have time.
  9. Looks good waiting for the first pak to add to my setup
  10. Installed pak 3 and the kids played the games in the pak all day. They had some friends over and they played 2600 games and never even played their PS 3. At the rate you are doing paks, you should have all the games in the Hyperspin database done in no time.
  11. Hell, I still do all that now. I find myself using you as my K-Mart right now. Can't wait to get home to see what pak you have next. Whatever it is I rush home and add it to my HD setup and show the kids what new . They are playing more of the retro stuff right now then their new stuff. That really takes me back.
  12. MSX and Amiga was in the original build. The above 2600 pak is missing the Hunt and Score theme. Would it be possible to have the theme show the default 2600 theme if a game theme is not in the title folder. Then you would not have to build a new map file each time you make a new game theme. Love what you are doing. Know you arte like me and get sidetrack easy. How about rotating to keep the interest up. Make a new system pak. then make a game pak.
  13. just took a break before calling it a night. Worked in my system for my television and got the Atari 2600 themes showing a make 56placeholders to hold me until you get to them. They were Phillips CD-I, Action Max, the first Odessey,, Intertion VC-4000, DICE and Sega Pico. I hope as you get 4 o5 new Atari 2600 themes done you put out Atari 2600 theme pak. Just need the themes and a new map file in each pak. Also hope you continue the system themes. Gonna call it a night, talk with you tommorow
  14. Deeply sorry for your loss.
  15. Changed the start page and test to [Console} Atari 2600 & VCS (MESS) and now works. Thank You. When you scroll thru box, snap cart etc. then you get to title and it show a small version of your game theme. Is that the way its supposed to be or is there a way to turn title off on the game page. If it supposed to be that way or there is now way to turn it off, no big deal. Now that you have my Gameex. Ini you can see some of the systems that I still new themes for. As you put out more Atari 2600 game themes or new system screens, I add them to my setup. The pics I send you and the ini file are on my computer I use this for testing and then move completed things to my television setup. Thanks for all your help and your new themes. Gonna go offline in a bit and transfer some more placeholder system themes and you Atar2600 game themes to my television.
  16. I am using MESS as the emulator. Start page name is [Console] Atari 2600 & VCS (MESS). Acually have it working using a different approach. I Have the Background Snap Path pointing to the title folder. I deleted the contents of all the others, (Box, cart, snap etc) It works perfect except the bottom where you have the cart number , it also show over it the list number . I'll try your approach in a few minutes.
  17. Still no work. Both those are turned off. CDI, because I don't have theme yet. Sega 32x has some special paths for some artwork I am working on. Please post you gameex.ini and I'll look at that when I get home from work. Thanks
  18. It's there now. The two new themes look good.
  19. I have your game themes in a folder called themes under Atari_2600. Attatched is may gameex.ini.
  20. Still no luck. Everything seems to be right but the theme does change with the game. I don't see a Atari 2600 config file . Are you talking about the Atari 2660. ini file Also is the theme for each game suppose to show up in the rigjht hand box when you callup the title screen. What tells the theme to use the individual game screen?
  21. Here is the screen shots. The title shows up in the left hand box, I'm sure I'm doing something really stupid. Thanks for your help.
