  1. The file name is LaunchZaccaria.ahk.
  2. On the download page. Click on See Changelog pulldown. Select an older version. This action will reveal a Download link near the pulldown.
  3. Install AutoHotkey: https://autohotkey.com/ Open launcher.ahk in Notepad. Ctrl+F and type in antimicro -> Enter Comment out the line by typing ; as the first character in the line Repeat until all lines containing antimicro have been commented. You will need to do the same thing with dc2 or replace dc2.exe with whatever you use to rotate your playfield to portrait mode, if needed Save the document Compile by right clicking the file in Explorer, and selecting Compile Script
  4. Yeah, that's not right. PinballX launches the launcher. The launcher launches the app. The launcher itself monitors the process. The launcher closes automatically when you exit the app bringing focus back to PinballX. The working path would be to whatever folder you have the launcher. The executable would be the compiled version of the launcher. You would need to pass in the table name in the Parameters field. Run EVERYTHING as administrator. This is from my config.ini. [System_13] Name=Zaccaria Pinball Enabled=True SystemType=0 WorkingPath=C:\PinballX\Scripts Executable=LaunchZaccaria.exe Parameters=[TABLEFILE] LaunchBeforeWorkingPath= That's about it. Granted, I have not run anything in well over a year, so I don't know if there have been changes to PinballX or the Zaccaria app that would require the script to be changed.
  5. Launcher source code and executable is in the zip file attached in the first post, PBXrecorder_1.5Zaccaria.zip.
  6. Honestly, I don’t know if the script works with the latest version of the game. My cab has been down for a while. I have not run it since before backglass support has been added. Otherwise, I would have coded a script to capture backglasses long ago. If I get my cab back up and running, I’ll check this out. By the way, if it isn’t currently working for you then the first thing to try is setting the compiled script to run as administrator. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Sure, post video and scripts when it is done!
  8. When do you have time to play? lol
  9. BAM is so, so much more than head tracking. Anyone with a cab and Future Pinball should also use BAM. Section with tutorial is at gopinball.com. Otherwise, yes, reserve your support requests at PinballX forums to PinballX. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. It's old but there might be something there that you can make use of:
  11. Colon is an invalid character for Windows file names. Assuming you are naming your media the same as the value in the description tag, then you would never use colon in the description tag. That said colon is not any sort of special character for XML. I'm a bit of stickler for how I want a table to show in the front end. If the name has a colon like "Star Trek: The Next Generation" then I want the colon to display in attract mode. In these situations only, I name my media the same as the value in the game name tag in order for the correct media to be used in attract mode. Same situation with backslash. It is an invalid character for Windows file names. What are you going to do? Settle for the table showing up as "ACDC" in attract mode? Don't be silly. Start learning some of the tricks of the trade to get PinballX to work how you need it. Game Manager can only take you so far.
  12. All samples are already parsed out for dozens and dozens of tables at pinsound.org
  13. One person's bug is another person's feature. If you know the rules for xml then you can have any unicode character you want properly displayed in the description field. Trademark characters, ampersands for Red & Ted's Road Show, middot character for PIN·BOT, etc. There is no problem identically matching table names in IPDB.txt. If a table doesn't appear just look it up on IPDB.org. Note that there are sometimes tables added to VPinMAME that don't yet have an entry at IPDB.org. They eventually catch up. And if a table is not in IPDB.org then just add to the xml anyway. No problem. Total non-issue. https://dev.w3.org/html5/html-author/charref The limiting factor is that there are illegal characters forbidden for use in Windows filenames. The backslash in AC\DC is an example. It is easy to hold "AC\DC" in the description tag, but it is illegal as a Windows filename. Consequently you would have the media file names match the value of the game name tag (your table file name) in order to display the correct media. Colon has similar issues so you can't have a file name like "Star Trek: The Next Generation" as it might appear in IPDB.txt. Instead your media would have to match the table file name in order to appear correctly in PinballX. A little more housekeeping might be required for such table titles but most would be fine without special treatment on the part of users. All media is community contributed. There is no error checking or moderation as far as I know. So, there may have to be some renaming to fit your needs. I.e., not everyone wants to follow the format of table (manufacturer, year). The beauty is that you can tailor everything to fit your specific needs.
  14. Hi, I rely pretty heavily on Inkochnito's reproductions to create the factory instruction cards used in this project. I recently found that Acrobat was automatically substituting fonts when they were not embedded in the source PDF file. Usually the substitution was Arial for Helvetica. Arial is close, but Arial is not Helvetica! And the output does not appear as accurately as intended. This occurs even with some of the true manufacturer PDFs hosted at Inkochnito's. I went through and fixed nearly 200 cards. Hopefully, that's all of them. Basically, all of the cards (at least for tables I have installed) are still available on the FTP: Other Uploads/Carny/Z20160604 Not on the FTP are some cards that required quite a bit more sweat to create. Most of them are for the newer Stern releases for which the manufacturer never published any PDFs for people to use for replacements (Ghostbusters, The Walking Dead, Star Trek, etc.) I've been building table specific media packs centered on these cards. They are published at VPUniverse. Check 'em out! http://vpuniverse.com/forums/files/category/9-hyperpin-media-packs/ Enjoy!
  15. There is a link to a working link - top post on this page.
  16. Those hide dmd and hide backglass settings instruct PinballX what to do for IN-GAME play after launching into the emulator. For attract mode for when you are selecting a game, you will want to disable PinMAME and dB2S and use a black screenshot as media or replace the default noDMD image with a black image. 17. So, you are happy with how things play when you launch MAME or Visual Pinball? But in attract mode you don’t want previews of a backglass for MAME or a DMD for Visual Pinball? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Sega Pinball logo Sega logo from Wikimedia Commons. The Pinball, Inc. portion from the earlier Stern Pinball logo from the post above with a few modifications.
  19. Personally, I recommend turning off all auto-positioning features as I think it creates as much confusion as it does simplifying setup for beginners. Think of PinballX , VPM, and B2S Server as completely separate and different systems (as this is how things actually function. These are separate pieces and they do not really read from each other's configuration files). Then configuring backglass and DMD must be done for each piece of software. PinballX - configure the size and location of the backglass display and DMD display in PinballX.ini either using Notepad or any other text editor OR using the Settings Wizard VPM (internal DMD/alphanumeric display) is a Window. Drag and resize the Window where you want it. "Cabinet Mode" must be checked in the table or default settings to ensure the size and location settings are saved to the registry. Fine tuning can be done if you are comfortable with directly editing the registry. Leave the external renderers like UltraDMD and dmdext alone until you get the basics down. B2S Server - configure the size and location of the backglass display and DMD display in screenres.txt. The "DMD" display is actually an external renderer only for tables with alphanumeric displays. There would be no "DMD" display coded for a table that actually had a dot matrix display. You would make note of where you do tend to locate the VPM display and use similar values for screenres.txt. Typically, in attract mode users want to see backglass videos/images that look like how the game will appear when you launch and load Visual Pinball. Two screen setups tend to have backglass displays with a grill rendered and for tables from around the mid-80s or later the score displayed in the center of that grill. So, you are saying that you don't want the score display to show up in attract mode at all?
  20. Quick tips are to install FuturePinball to root or someplace besides Program Files (x86). Make sure that all executables (including fploader.exe) and dll files are unblocked. Executables set to run as administrator. I suggest doing this not just for Future Pinball but PinballX and any other pinball-related applications. Google it if you don't know what I'm talking about. Outside of these quick tips, review this thread and seek support for BAM at GoPinball.com http://www.gopinball.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=86&t=5544
  21. Post your pinballx.ini and log.txt
  22. Attach your pinballx.ini and log.txt when reporting an issue. Thanks.
  23. BAM Open VR is for Vive or Oculus Rift. Start again by using classic BAM http://www.ravarcade.pl/files/BAM_v1.4-196.zip
  24. I could see this happening if there were a corrupt or invalid xml. Or it could be a bad card file. That would be harder to test as today’s browsers no longer have native support for Flash. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
