You are sort of asking if it is OK to install XBMC over the top of Windows Media Center. You should look at GameEX Evolution as a whole new GameEx. This is not an update, it's a sequel!

You might be able to keep a script running at all times, then reprogram your Ipac based on #IfWinActive or Process,Exist.

The single most important file is gameex.ini. It contains almost all of your settings for GameEx. After that, there are CustomMenu.ini, custominput.ini, and mameemumap.ini if you are using any of those features. Next would be any plugin ini or xml files if you are using any of the plugins. EG: Plugins\PluginLCD\PluginLCD.ini or Plugins\MAME Commander 2\Settings.xml files if you are using any of the plugins. If you have any custom themes or images you would want to back them up as well.

I'm sorry, my answer would only have applied if you were launching running your emulator from within the bat file.

When you launch an app from gameex it watches the process, and once the process ends gameex takes over again. You can use an advanced config to watch for additional processes.

Either use RomCenter Or ClearMamePro to create a seperate set of roms, just use a mapfile in GameEx.

Great Post Riffman81. I would add that there is a program for renaming PSX files called PSX Renamer that will rename your files automagically. Also, I created a program that will put roms in and out of folders if need be.
