Tom - I have a question. He said that he added the roms to the DoNotFilter list. Doesn't that override all of the settings, and show the rom no matter what? Or are there some filters that still work, such as Clean List?
The problem with a config is that we don't know if your paths / emulator.exe are correct, or what your rom filter should be. Troubleshoot using runitgame.bat, or by using the debug option in your config.
There have been numerous times in the GameEx forums that you have posted that you had something working without posting the solution. You should never expect more than you give.
For the first question, you may want to look at one of the other 'Other Versions' in the start menu. Perhaps GameEx Lite (Game Launcher Mode). If that isn't what you want, you can take a look at the Custom Menu feature.
The most that I can say is that there is a sequel to GameEx coming by end of July and it will be called GameEx Evolution. Other than that, details are sketchy.
It seems to me that mame made some changes in 0.151 that was causing some other strange things to happen. Would you mind trying your 0.149 version just to see if it makes a difference?
For the most part you will want to setup Mame using 'Mame Settings' in the setup wizard, not as an emulator. The setup wizard has a search feature that will help you find the correct section.
I threw the apostophies in there myself because I thought it looked better than 'Enterprise Computers Enterprise'. Having a delimiter between the publisher and system name would help clarify things. Enterprise Computers - Enterprise
Mess Naming: It doesn't matter to me. I'm just throwing it out there. I just use a few stringreplace commands to get them to match to existing GameEx convention. I just figure that matching Mess couldn't be a bad thing.
