  1. Sorry, I should have quoted the post to which I was referring. So basically you think we are all morons.
  2. Happy Birthday Stu!
  3. So basically you think we are all morons.
  4. Work days are the worst regardless if you smoke or not.
  5. I see that you changed your Avatar. It looks like you are saying 'Ha Ha smoking, I beat you." I hope that is the case. I just saw the milk jug in your first post.
  6. I just realized that if you click on the image and go to photo bucket, you can then click on the magnifying glass and see the text.
  7. The game is designed for a 4-way diagonal stick. If you don't have a diagonal stick, it is not an intuitive game to play.
  8. One of my favorites, and I only have a few of those. I'm glad you took my post as constructive, as was my intention.
  9. Another weekend has passed, and I am still thinking of you. I hope all is going good.
  10. Looks really good. A couple of comments, and a question. 1. This sentence needs editing: Its rare, typically on in newer arcade games. 2. I saw one instance where GameEx is not capitalized. Now for the question. Is this true? Not all possible settings are covered by the “Setup Wizard”. Its worth looking at the GameEx ini file using notepad. Its typically located in the “CONFIG” folder in GameEx and is called “GameEx.ini”. IE: C:\GameEx\CONFIG\GameEx.ini I just noticed that the two 'its' in that passage need an apostrophe: It is = it's All in all a great guide. Thanks again!
  11. There's 3 levels?
  12. Nice improvement rtkiii Not to take the credit, but before I posted my tips your highest score on Level 4 was 22500. You have since been able to increase that up to 35950. Not to take away your steam, but my highest score on level 4 was 44850. Make sure to kill as many enemies as you can with one apple, and get the bonus in the middle every chance you get to increase your score. I forgot to mention this before, but if you eat all eight of the cherries in a group at one time, not only do you get 50 points for each cherry, but you also get 500 bonus points. If you can run around and eat cherries at the end of the level with only one enemy left you can score more points. Just don't get killed trying to do it.
  13. My point was that "if installing Codecs is intimidating, then you are going to have a difficult time with this hobby". If you are getting frustrated, take a break. IMHO the best way to keep from getting frustrated is to not worry about the time that it takes to get something done. This is a hobby. Take the time to make it what you want it to be, and then be proud that you were able to do it. I spent thousands of hours on this hobby, and I don't even play the games. It's all about the journey. I used to run Project Tempest for the Jaguar games, but again IMHO you would be much better off to play Tempest in Mame.
  14. With a merged set, the parent rom has all of the files that it needs, and the children only contain the roms that are different from the parent. pacman is a clone, and unless you have a split set it would not run without its parent puckman. I would wager that most people have a merged set because of the space savings.
  15. That's my excuse, you need to find your own.
  16. You mention downloading roms (which is against the forum rules) more than once. I think that most of us have a full set of roms, and then filter out the games we don't want from within GameEx. If you are going to do as you describe, you will need to make sure that you have a split-set. Other than that the guide looks great, and your contribution is very appreciated. It is extremely rare for the first and second post of a member to be providing help, and not asking for it.
  17. Not to be rude, but if installing Codecs is intimidating, then you are going to have a difficult time with this hobby.
  18. No Problem, if for any reason something I said doesn't make sense, let me know and I will try to clarify. Most people around here know that the above post was like writing a book for me. Most of the time if I can't say it in a sentence or two, it doesn't get said.
  19. Happy Birthday Krakerman!
  20. I'm not sure if you guys have a strategy, but a few tips Pass under an apple without any enemies close behind you. after the apple falls push it into the open column just a bit. At this point you can move on and most likely you will get 1-3 enemies to kill themselves while digging under the apple, or you can wait there and push the apple as they start to dig. The more enemies you kill with one apple, the more points that you get. Every 10,000 points one of the letters will come down from the top. Go right up to a wall and wait for them to pass. You can actually throw the ball through the wall without creating an opening for the enemies to get to you if you are close enough. To do this, face the wall and press the button to throw the ball repeatedly while moving towards the wall until the ball goes through the wall. At that point you need to stop moving or you will break the wall and the enemies will get you. After the enemies leave the center area, make sure to pick up the prize in the center for extra points. When you pick up the prize, one of the letters from the top will come down into the maze. If you have time, wait until a letter that you have not previously killed is highlighted, and THEN grab the prize. Spell EXTRA, and get a bonus life.
  21. Welcome to GameEx! Please post your log. Click on my signature, and then 'How to ask for help' for instructions on how to do it.
  22. If you want ALL of the commands underneath the else statement to ONLY be executed if ErrorLevel <> 0, then those commands need to be enclosed in braces. As you have it , If ErrorLevel = 0 then break Else Sleep, 100. All of the commands after Sleep, 100 are executed regardless of the If / Else condition. #NoEnv ; Recommended for performance and compatibility with future AutoHotkey releases.SendMode Input ; Recommended for new scripts due to its superior speed and reliability.SetWorkingDir %A_ScriptDir% ; Ensures a consistent starting directory.#NoTrayIconSleep, 3000 ; Helps prevent focus loss from loading system components.Run, C:\Gameex\login.exeloop{ Process, Exist, login.exe ; check to see if login.exe is running If (errorLevel=0) ; If it's not running do the following Break else ; If it's running do the following { Sleep, 100 MouseClick, left, 723, 694 send {click down} sleep 100 Send {click up} sleep, 3000 }}ExitApp8::Up4::Left2::Down6::RightLctrl::Enter
  23. I was just having a little fun, please don't take that from me.

The easy answer could be 'Press the space bar' for all I know.
