I can duplicate the error. Seems a bug got introduced. Its resolved. Uploading new version shortly.

The original issue is obviously resulted to codecs. You can try the general solution posted on the forums here about disabling 32 bit in lav. I don't know about the error off hand from that but please always post the full log and attach it.

Thanks for reporting back. I updated the configs to hide desktop. Because it uses OpenGL windowed.

Sorry should clarify that the latest version via auto update is not the latest version. There were platform updates and the latest version is only available from the site here. Just download and run the installer. It will upgrade.

I see. It was hidden in there. Well that's not the latest version anyway says 15.73.

How about a log file. Which version did you upgrade from?

PS: It did change a year or so ago to answer your question but there should be no reason why you cant get it to work.
