I believe the cords may be taken from the pinmame window with VP. I need to look at this as pinmame uses external DLL by default these days. I did test this a few weeks ago and it was working for me but without using external DLL

Could be a bug or it might to do with windows 10 updates. They kind of hijacked xbox controllers in recent versions. Not sure there is anything I can do but an older driver might help. Please post the GameEx log file anyway.

It's having trouble initializing the direct3d device. Maybe video drivers not installed or too old.

All I can think the issue is it is a keyboard device or does not support directinput. A common issue is people assume there devices are game pad devices but actually use keyboard encoders or vice versa. Does your device operate as a keyboard instead of a gamepad? Have you at least tried the keyboard controls?

Gees, this seems kind of convoluted! I was going to reply to this but I looked at the bloated questions and just thought ugh! Too much information and not enough detail about what is actually going on with the setup. Lets keep it to the point, specifics and facts and I will try to help. I have not got the time to read through all this right now but want to help. Yes, game lists should auto populate as long as you are not using map files. Map files provide a fixed list whether games are present or not. Menus for them should also appear automatically. I am not aware of them not doing so unless is a recent bug introduced. Keep it to the point and I will answer further questions. Again, it is the holidays buddy. This is not a multi million dollar business and barely makes any money and other than help from a few people like Draco most of the time I have to do pretty much everything myself from developing the software to keeping the sites running. Honestly, if you want to use another product please feel free to go ahead. For the most part its all about comradery and fun here. I don't need people who kindly help me out getting pissed off, especially this time of year, whether they were a little off with you or not. I think that is a very old post. It may work. If it does, what is the issue? Which version of Ghostscript are you using? I doubt its a hardcoded path. Its taken from the registry as far as I know. So change the registry values rather than the paths.

The one key is supposed to capture both. I simplified the procedure. If that is not working as usual please post log and ini.

Hi, It accounts for downloads in several ways I believe, including IP address. If you are using a shared proxy server or popular VPN or otherwise trying to protect your identity that could be an issue if you have not contributed. To be clear there is a fair limit for people who have not paid and this is to encourage people to pay, so the forum, the sites, and software will continue as long as there is still demand and people wish it to continue. Could you please post a log file? Im having trouble understanding you a little. So you are not talking about automatic updates? Are you sure it is not installing to a different folder?

Hi, There are platform updates in version 16.00 so auto updates are disabled for the moment. You should just be able to do a manual download and install. Is that not working for you?

Its just regular GameEx. Theres a couple more improvements to it in 16.08.

PS: Note you have to device manager - update driver - pick manual etc. Good to find a solution to this. Works for anything else too that uses the guide button.

Okay, I found the solution to the guide button. What you need to do is find an older driver for the controller. I attach one for XBOX One wired USB which works for me now. xb1usb.11059.0.140526x64.zip
