I found the solution. The backglass and dmd was set to monitor=0 in the .ini file. I changed that and now I am no longer getting the popup.

Hello all! Hope you are having a great year so far! I have seen quite a few of these small handheld deals lately that have MAME, etc. I’m not confident in some of the random websites these are sold on, but maybe you guys have a recommendation. My current thought is that I went through the effort to get a bunch of games working on my arcade. I have two Nintendo Switches for the family. I should just throw something on the Switch to play old school games. I have seen tutorials with RetroArch. However, what I’ve seen is basically scrolling through a master game list like a folder in windows. I can’t possibly do that after having the pleasure of GameEx as my arcade front end. I will say RetroArch may have more graphic options and I just haven’t dug far enough into it yet. I am wondering if anyone has modded one of their Switches and if they could point me in the right direction for a tutorial.
