  2. I built an arcade cabinet for my own pleasure and though "I get sweet memories back to when I played these games on the arcade..." so, why not record gameplay videos with my last coin, and maybe make others remember those old great times? So I began recording gameplays of the games I like the most, or the games that were common on spanish arcades. I speak spanish, sorry for that, but maybe those videos will give you some sweet memories back to you too... The video series is called "Un Arcade para recordar" (an arcade to remember), and I keep uploading videos from time to time. Great if you want to practise spanish, though. I talk about game characters, game tips, general nonsense, and some cursing too First one is the intro video, and I just added subtitles in english ;D so at least you know what I'm saying on the intro video every other video is in spanish... 3. It is likely that the OS will need to be reinstalled and registered for the new hardware. MS (especially since Vista) binds the installation to the hardware "footprint" at the time of install. Major changes, such as in your case will cause this to occur. As for the PSU issue, you may want to swap the one from the old PC if a higher wattage than the new one and if compible with the case.

  4. As I posted a video on the hammerin' harry thread and you seemed to enjoy it even being in spanish... Here's my video for Toobin as this game was not common in spain, I explained that I found it just playing at our highscore competition, so if you see some screenshots of gameex and the forum, that's why

  5. Thanks for the submission. I think we are onto something. If you note "Invalid or filtered path:" and "Directory does not exist:" errors in the log.txt file, you will probably be able to suss out the cause of the errors yourself. It appears that most of the "found" games are installed under S:\Steam\steamapps\common\ whereas others are/were loacted at c:\program files (x86)\steam\steamapps\common\. First, delete or rename the EMU_1002.dbcache.ini and steamdata.ini files located in your C:\GameEx\DATA path. Don't worry as these will rebuild on the subsequent launch of GameEx. If the same error occurs, which is likely, you may need to uninstall/reinstall these games to your S:\Steam path (you can change this during install of each game). Try the delete or rename of the cache files first and report back if successful or if any more issues and provide an updated log.txt file. Thanks!

  7. Vista was released 1/30/2007 so it is a 7 year old OS so if bought before 7 was released, it is between 5-7 years old which is venerable age for a PC. If he has a separate GPU installed, you may have to remove it in order for onboard video to work as some BIOS auto disable the onboard in the presence of an add-on GPU. Some BIOS allow for the disabling of audible post codes and it could simply be disabled. Some will not even give you post codes if it is the CPU. Bad RAM can cause it to not even start and, again, no post codes. If it has multiple sticks, try taking them out and put in one stick in, boot, if it starts or doesn't, shut it down and repeat the process. If it is the CPU, you are not going to know for certain unless you get a compatible CPU replacement. If it is the mobo, then none of these will likely work and you are then looking at a replacement. My experience as a tech, in light of the evidence you have presented and not being able to touch it myself says that it is likely a goner. Good luck and hopefully you will prove this assumption wrong!

  8. for Vectrex, i would not going the Mess.route anyway. Its a crap emulation. Go ParaJVE instead, best Vectrex emulator on planet. Believe me, it is much, much better than MESS. Download here: http://www.vectrex.fr/ParaJVE/ Command-Line in GameEx-Setup-Wizard: ParaJVE.exe -Game=[ROM] -Fullscreen=TRUE -Menu=OFF -NoSplash use attached ParaJVE.ini put it in GameEx/CONFIG/EMULATORS In the Setup-Wizard, choose the ParaJVE.ini in the Advanced Config Tab. Thats all, good luck and have fun ParaJVE.ini
