  1. GameEx version 13.01 adds Adultery's Virtual Drive Loader Plugin. There really are a lot of great plugins included with GameEx now. If you are trying GameEx for the first time you might want to take a look at the Plugin Manager utility included. View the full article

  5. Yeah, you really nailed it with this plugin. I haven't used it much but so far it's been really easy to use and seems very powerful and flexible.

  6. A little more involved: ATTRACT MESSAGE: ATTRACT MODE! PRESS A KEY TO EXIT![-LF-][GAMENAME][-LF-][DEVELOPER] ([YEAR]) RESULT: EDIT: Without my toolbar blocking the view.

  7. Thanks to Tom's BIG 13.00 update, I added some functionality to the Attract Mode label! You can add variables to the Attract Mode message now. Here's an example: Attract Message: [GAMENAME]: DEMO MODE! Displays: Now that looks really cool IMHO.

  10. This project was inspired by a Sam Seide's mini cocktail project. I always wanted to build one of these but thought you'd be limited to vertical cocktail games. When I found out, through Sam's video, that MAME can do Cocktail mode for horizontals I was ready to start work. This project took me 4 weeks to complete. The majority of that time was spent on the artwork and configuring the software. 11. It's out. Download it from the first post. Tested and working in all kinds of crazy situations. LOL! I SHOULD ALSO MENTION that MAME doesn't support DirectInput, so this will not work without modification to MAME.EXE. Mmmkay?

  12. I was viewing the XPadder forums a while back and found a post where Jonathan (the author of the program) discussed how he modified the MAME source code to once again work with XPadder. This mod would make it possible to use AHK etc once again too. Here's what he wrote (I would link the post, but the forum is no longer available): So the question is, is this a good idea or are there potential negative ramifications from disabling the raw input system? This is a really simple change and would allow for a lot of control to be given back to the user, but if it will screw things up in a big way then it's not worth it. Comments?

  13. Take a look in src\osd\windows\input.c and change // For testing purposes: force DirectInput #define FORCE_DIRECTINPUT 0 to // For testing purposes: force DirectInput #define FORCE_DIRECTINPUT 1 That should do it.
