Go get 'em!

http://www.emumovies.com/Kenclops/

They are avi's made with the intel codec 4.5. Rename them to match your roms and in gameex config one of the setting under tweak performance I believe should be set to No, I'm using Slow Drives. Best Snap Match I believe.

Hi Kenclops, great work, I love these avi's instead of screenshots. Can you explain how you made them? Did you use fraps for the recording?

Cheers,

Arjen

i got corrupt rars.. anyone else?

Um, use winrar.

2.) For video game avi's, I used fraps at 25 fps no sound to record and half-size. Went from one game to the next through gameex and fraps just kept saving them. Then I used virtual dub and intel codec 4.5 with a compression somewhere between 75-85 with no sound checked.

On an unrelated note, if you intend to make your own background video loops, something I should say is that when using virtual dub, you must have sound enabled. It can be silent, but if you don't have sound enabled, the video loops will crash.

I'm assuming that you're the creator of EmuMovies.com:

First off, thanks a ton for the EmuMovies. I've DL'd just about all of them, and people who use my arcade system think they're the coolest thing since sliced bread.

Have there been any additions to the prior releases? (ie: SNES, Genesis, etc.)

Also, I've filled in a few gaps with some obscure game videos you didn't appear to have: (StarOcean-SNES, ClockTower-SNES, Vey-SegaCD, etc.). Is there any way the GameEx community can contribute videos?

Keep up the good work! B)

I tried all of them on I do get CRC errors on 1 or 2 files within psx, nes, and gen32xscd. All other files within these .rar's look ok. All other .rar's work fine with 7-Zip.

Some files refuse to play in my system. For example with NES

Dragon Warrior refuses to play> Here's is the info on it

But Kung Fu plays fine but here's the info on that one

As you can see. Kung Fu uses the Intel Codec but Dragon Warrior uses another one? Aren't they all made with the same codec?

Why not use a more universal codec like xvid?

Unzipping errors. Have you tried unzipping rar and zip files from other places as of lately. I only use WInzip, Winrar, and 7z on my computer.

As for the codec thing, damn, didn't know. Well, they all work for me. Perhaps you need to set Windows Media Player to download codecs automatically. Perhaps you need to clean out your system. Scurvy, try running AVG anti-virus and Ad-aware personal on your computer. If it can play in Windows media player, it can play on gameex.

Thank's anyways but it has nothing to do with AVG, or Adware it's with the codec. It just seems weird that one file was made with one codec and another with another if they were made using the same settings. Anyways i'm batch converting all of them to xvid.

cant you made a SFV file for them so people can tell if tehre Corrupt or ~PAR files so if they are corrupt people can fix the files with minimal extra downloading

Quick Par link to quick par it basicly makes Parity of the Original file and you can fix the file if it gets damaged

I'm not getting corrupt rar's but I dont have the codec to play these videos and I have K-Lite Codec pack. Perhaps I need a newer version for these?

Okay, good too know they are not corrupt. It could be something with your dsl line and if it's a little rickety around big files. As for the K-lite codec, I've never installed it. My process was to use fraps to record, virtual dub to compress and edit with Intel codec 4.5. From loooking at the different types of codecs playing on previous screens, it seems that these are codecs built directly into your system. If you Windows Media Player you should have these codecs. Yes, sometimes I used Indeo 5. That was by accident, but still should be playable on your system.

I am currently going through many of my old sets, checking for errors and adding missing videos. Along with that I am adding box, cart, titles, snaps and manuals. I am making them as complete as possible and all packs will have the latest no-intro or (if no-intro is not applicable) goodtools naming conventions. Will be a major plug and play solution for gameex. Check out the news section over at emumovies.com, updates are posted almost daily at this point.

If anyone would like to help just send me an email [email protected]

Thanks
