Visual pinball starting on backglass

Some of my visual pinball games are starting in pinball x with the back glass selected instead of the playing field. This makes all the controls non-functional.  All of visual pinball games are selected through VP 995. Weird thing is some of them work and some of them dont. They all work outside of pimball x.

 What can I do to default the cursor to the play field when all all visual pinball games are selected in pinball x? Thank you!

Please start by providing copies (no copy & paste to the thread) of your pinballx.ini and log.txt files from right after the error you described occurred. Knowing what table(s) are affected would also help us help you better.

And the main question is also: What changed in your cabinet when this behavior occurred? As VP995 has been out of development for many years, my assumption is that something must have happened in your cabinet that caused this.

Windows updates? Updates to PinballX? Reinstallation of your OS (without having a proper backup)?

I somewhat recently upgraded to windows 11 and reinstalled everything. What should I be using for visual pinball games? I have to go through all the games, but Jack's open is effected and High Speed is not. Will get the logs and all the games effected this week hopefully. Thanks to you both!

VP10  / VPX is the standard (https://github.com/vpinball/vpinball/releases/tag/v10.8.0-2051-28dd6c3), but that will be for any newer tables (from the last ~10 years). If you haven't updated any tables in all that time then stay with VP 9.95 to open your tables as they will have been created with VP9.

It may be time to start thinking about updating your VP software and table collection now!

Here are the files. Ironically, I posted on here back in April about the same type of issue. I reloaded pinball x and it seem to fix it at the time. The cab is really never online, so not sure why this issue returned?

Ahh, from the log you're using VPinball995 for some older .vpt visual pinball tables, but also have VPinballX64 for newer .vpx tables.

So the problem is with vpt/995 tables only. That's quite old now (i've never used it) so support might be limited.

Have you considered replacing the vpt files with vpx equivalents? Jack's Open does have vpx versions available - https://virtualpinballspreadsheet.github.io/games?game=aNhj6R4L

You're on PinballX 6.58 so please update to the latest version (6.95 at this time)
