[RESOLVED] PinballX lose focus on ultra dmd tables

Hello,

I have a problem: When i launch a table that uses Flex DMD/Ultra DMD, the table loses focus and the playfield doesn't display. I have to use Alt+Tab to play.

No problem when i launch it directly from VPX

I've launched VPX and PinballX with administrator mode enabled and disabled, same problem.

I do have exclusive fullscreen mode enabled.

I have VPX 10.8.0 installed, the latest version of b2sserver, and the latest versions of Flex DMD and Ultra DMD.

If somebody have a solution, that would be great.

Not a solution, but a workaround.

I tried launching the program before launching PinballX (same result), and launching it using the "Start before VPX" option caused PinballX to freeze on a black screen.

It should just be launched once. If you click on the icon in system tray,  it should open the program with the log.

As I mentioned,  it should not be a solution,  but a workaround. (And for most it works, it was created for VR users running another frontend)

It must be something with your dmddevice.ini or visual pinball settings that causes this. Is the flexdmd supposed to be on the backglass or on the playfield ?.

Can you maybe make a video what you get (try 2 differrent flexdmd tables) and show the alt tab ? Maybe someone sees the culprit of your issue

@zbubar Do you know which window has 'focus' before you alt+tab to the visual pinball window?

It looks like a problem with b2sserver, I have to disable Start as exe for these tables, but it works randomly, if it doesn't work, then I re-enable it, restart the table, then repeat the process to disable it, and after a while it works and it doesn't lose focus anymore once it has worked one time. very strange.

There was a new version of B2S released a few days ago; https://github.com/vpinball/b2s-backglass/releases/tag/v2.1.4

It might be worth trying to update to that. But yes, very strange issue!.

Thank yous guys, disabling Start as exe & updating b2sserver solved the issue for me
