[RESOLVED] black screen in attract mode

I assume you read the above about event viewer but this is very relevant as GameEx exited in an unhandled way.

Now that I've gotten i to the event viewer what it is you want me to do there? I've never seen this operation before.

LBasement...lol. no its in the finished part of my basement. The laundry is on the far side....side....behind another door on the other side of the house

i had another shut down.

here is another...i inserted coin in key 5 and the game loaded then quickly jumper out pf game play and back to the FE

Look for application and system errors occurring about the time of the crash or lockup.

Ok I had a black screen issue on attract mode this morning. The only issue that came up at the same time was something about "windows hello for business? " I have no idea what that is.

And were there any references within Event Viewer at the time if the hang? You probably have to look at the log.txt file for GameEx to determine the date and time as a reference.

"something about 'windows hello for business?'" is an incomplete error message and gives little to go by.

Likely there is something in Event Viewer that not only gives the full error message, but also an error code. Sorry I can't guide you any further than that as you have to learn how to access the tool and navigate which takes effort over time to master.

Windows Hello for Business anything should not be a part of Windows 11 Pro 64-bit anything as far as I am aware. Was there anything you had installed on the PC as relates to PIN, access, or domain management?

Okay, I was able to disable  Hello business for windows. Another issue i've been seeing is windows 11 trying to somehow activate secure boot yet my motherboard is too old and does not support secure boot

I take it that you installed Windows 11 on a device that did not meet the criteria and/or you do not have UEFI enabled BIOS?

It seems as if my motherboard does not support secure boot

This is really the only thing that I see in the event viewer. I have uefi enabled bios.

Likely not, probably a red herring.

Ok so what else could  be causing this issue other than GameEx itself?  Windows is not listing another error in the event viewer.
