I am using the PBX version 522 32 bits in a cabinet with playfield screen 1, backglass screen 2 and one real PIN2DMD
I have Windows 10
All worked well these last months and suddenly the backglass has disappeared
With the mode windowed I see now the backglass displayed on the playfield screen 1 x=0, y=0, Witdth=500, Lenght=500

I don't remenber to have modified some thing before
I return to version 508 it is the same
I removed the installation and install again version 522 it is same
In the log file I have the error message with the file flash.ocx but all work until now, but I will remove
this file but I have a problem to make that

I don't know how it is possible
Where PBX is reading the information for this position of the backglass ?

Thankyou for your help

In the file INIT you can see for Backglass X=1920 because I make a test, normally I have X=0 and the problem is the same

When I launch VPX or VP the position of the backglass is ok on the screen 2 the problem is just with PBX

930 tables and now wheel omages ???

Besides the pinballx ini file, can you post the windows screen settings as well, to see how your display setup shows like ?

In the past I used wheels, brand logo

Picture on picture is too much for me I prefer the simplicity now (sorry for the good work made to create these arts wheels)

I create my simple readable DMD for each table and they are on the real DMD

Can you confirm i understand correctly, setting the X offset made no difference to backglass location in PinballX?

technicly, your INI file looks fine to me.
Monitor 2 is set to the backglass and start at 0,0
Not sure why it show on monitor 1

Yes setting the X offset made no difference, is why I don't understand where PBX find these false coordinates

I use PBX since many years and it is the first time that arrive

It is a new installation of Windows 10 on my new cabinet from March of this year and this problem started last week

I tried x offset 1920 and monitor 0 and nothing change as if PBX don't read this information but read other information ?

I tried PBX with administrator yes/not  nothing change  :  what you use ?

Having the offset at 1920 and monitor set at 0 should have moved the backglass. Not sure why it didn't..  are you performing the edits via settings.exe or by manual edits to the pinballx.ini file (and if doing manual edits the file is located in pinballx\config folder? - just want to be sure it's the right file)

Next thing to try would be to set the x offset back to 0 and then try backglass as monitor numbers 2-5.

I run PinballX as admin, main reason is because i launch pinsound studio with it (and pinsound did at one time require to run as admin too)

I have performed the edits via settings.exe and the config file is in the config folder.

I tried monitor numbers 2-5 and nothing

I remenber now the cabinet have started with the monitor 1 off and the monitor 2 on, also I put the monitor 1 on and I restart again

May be the problem is arrived after that but I don't remenber.

Because in the past Windows had difficulties to manage this type of situation, and may be today again

It seems to me that there was software to test that

So, the issue started when 1 monitor was turned off ?

Still I dont understand why it is happening

Did you try Scutters orher option in tbe pinballx.ini, to set the x offset to 1920 ?

A  (windows) reboot with all monitors on should normally correct any issues, unless you're adding new monitors or changing GPU ports around.

Might be worth checking the registry locations mentioned here https://support.displaylink.com/knowledgebase/articles/736116-windows-display-properties-identify-numbers-are though and possibly going through the rediscover monitors guide (maybe not for the unconfident pc user though)

Do you put yiur cabinet in sleep mode, or do you power it off (shutdown?)

Today i was doing some tests on my pc and I put it in sleep. I turned both monitors off as well.  When returning from sleep, my display was inverted, and needed to be up correctly.

I saw the exact screen from Post #1 at my cabinet after setting PinballX from fullscreen into windows-mode. My solution was to maximize the Playfield-Windows by clicking it’s windows-icon. After that the backglass went to the backglass-Monitor and all looked fine.
