Ahh, the good ole days!

I recall someone turning me on to Republic Commando a long time ago now, another decent game from the prequel days like Racer.

I got Racer to run somewhat on W10 but was a pain. I may spring for it through GoG though.

It's too bad I actually have all the games they're offering, and then some.  I wish they had Star Wars Galaxies MMO and that they never shut the server down.

At one point I had many of the oldies, but started selling them off back in the 98SE days.  I picked up Racer last year during this sale, but haven't even tried it.  I will say this, go read their forums for tips about how to install it and set it up beforehand, apparently it's real picky about initial setup.

The GoG Racer is much easier to install than the web hacks. Pad setup for Racer is pretty straight forward. I will probably try programming it for use with my Thrustmaster HOTAS. It is fairly dated in appearance for the cinematic cut scenes, but the play graphics on HD look decent, albeit somewhat blocky.

For a moment last night while sitting in my computer chair I ignored the fact I have stacks of games I've yet to install;  much less time to play, and pressed the "place order" button on Steam for Empire at War.   After reading and watching several reviews I'm pretty surprised to see how this one has held up over time.  I nearly bought it when it came out, but seeing the developer and community support this is still getting pushed me over the edge 15 years later. 

I figure I'll be able to at least hit up some campaign action every week or so and man does this thing look amazing on my triple monitor setup   Perhaps this game will prove justification for actually buying three of them
