[RESOLVED] incorrect naming of game

on arcade edition i just noticed aliens the gun is named gunsmoke? its named correctly in the regular gameex also if i search gunsmoke its not there. maybe other games are that way but this was in my favorites so i noticed it

What MAME version are you running?

I am still on 0.222 and both appeared in the list correctly for me. The ROM and logo file names are alien3.

Can you attach your gameex.ini and  log.txt file (after selecting the game, of course)? Thanks.

Does your romset match?   .227 brought some big changes.

yes, matching romset, also whats strange the regular gameex doesnt have this problem only the arcade version

Did you locate an updated dat files for your MAME build? 

You may need to delete your cache files and reupdate your list. Ensure that you have alien3.png or alien3.jpg in your MAME\logos folder. I could see if the file names were close, but something isn't right in your data somewhere.

found it. regular gameex the theme i use doesnt show the marque for the game. arcade the them does so thats why i didnt see the problem in regular mame. but i searched in the downloaded artwork folder and there was the gunsmoke marque named alien3 ? have no idea why because it was downloaded automatically so i deleted that and all of the alien 3 stuff and ran download artwork and its all good now.
