[RESOLVED] help with singe on gameexarcade

help! it decided to try the arcade version on my main game cabinet with Draconus Theme 1.0.1 and I love it. so far mame and daphne was very simple getting going but singe is driving me nuts. must be something simple I am overlooking . its bee such a long time since I originally set it all up with gameex I don't remember how I did it. I tried to copy everything in setup from one to another but no luck. attached is the arcade version ini and log file along with my gameex working ini

I've personally never tried Singe, so cant offer anything here. Sorry. I will try it out soon though.

ive had it setup for years on gameex but even exporting the emulator ini and importing it into gameex arcade no roms found. I even used American laser and copied all the settings from my regular gameex ? don't get it. singe uses  shortcuts to .bat files. it should work I would think.. one of these night I might try gameex evolution and see if that works

Suggest that you open up your gameex.ini for both GameEx and Arcade Edition side-by-side using Notepad++ or other text editor to view your emulator settings for Singe. It should work. No ROMs found could mean a bad path or command line.

I believe the rom filter should be =*.lnk rather than just =.lnk

that did it. now its seeing the files. now to get them to work. strange everything works in gameex not arcade. but I will play with it some more this weekend.

As the author I can tell you the two are pretty much the same so i can't really think of no reason why they would be different unless your using different versions (numbers).

figured it out!  singe/American laser games work by a .bat file. game executes a shortcut to the .bat file. for some reason when I created the shortcuts years ago the file lets say mad dog.bat the shortcut was named the same mad dog.bat but it is a .lnk file. regular game ex had no problem with those but I noticed it displayed in the game selection the name had the .bat in it so I renamed the shortcut removing the .bat and they all work. strange but I don't care it works
