Skrowm
Hello, I have got a problem with Pinball X since a while with an old version of Pbx and also with the last version 4.33. In te attract mode, in the beginning all is ok but after a moment the wheels dissapear, i have no logo, ii have to reboot pinball X to recover the pictures. Do you know why ? and what can i do to resolve this problem ?

scutters
Last time someone reported the wheel images disappearing the issue was due to low disk space on c:\ drive. Can you check you have plenty of space? See also
Draco1962
If space on your c:\ drive is at a premium, you may want to read this: In my case, windows.edb was the culprit. This is the Search index file. Further reading on the innerwebs seem to indicate that this issue has been around since at least 8.1. I haven't disabled Windows Seach indexing as I am unsure that doing so will be of any positive benefit. Removing the windows.edb file causes no harm as it will rebuild over time and I've noted no adverse effects thus far. The TreeFree app made searching for the culprit in the system files a breeze. WARNING! ⚠️ PLEASE do your homework and "google" any file names you encounter BEFORE deleting to ensure you are not about to permanently delete a needed file only replaceable by a complete reinstall of you OS and everything else on your drive! scutters
Did you see joyriders post in the thread about turning storage sense off in windows? That may be deleting the wheel cache file. See Try turning that off, or post back if it already is!
Tom Speirs
Also don't forget codecs. Wrong ones can cause all kind of problems with memory leaks etc

Now i will check if it's ok or not.

Before turning that off, i have checked this folder : (%Temp%\PinballX\WheelCache), but i found nothing inside the temp folder, no PinballX folder. Skrowm
Thanks all for your replies, the problem seems to be resolved by unckeck the setting to prevent temporary files
joyrider3774
it prevents erasing temporary files (with low disk space) at random moments not temporary files itselve so it was storage sense after all. storage sense probably kicked in during attract mode and erased the wheelcache folder
