Upgrade OS from XP to Win7 for my GameEx PC - Anything I need to worry About?

As the title says.  It is time I upgrade my GameEx box from XP to Win7.  I have a couple addins like(shit what are their names)  One lights up LEDs for buttons, I-Pac for controls and I have the other addin for putting the buttons on screen before the game starts.

As far as GameEx itself from the horses mouth - likely not. As for drivers and other stuff perhaps.

Great, Thanks!  I have time to work out the kinks but I just do not want to setup GameEx from the ground up again    Mainly because I forget how...LOL

oh crap...I thought Windows XP could directly upgrade to Winj7....but you cannot.  Oh bother!

Getting off XP will be worth the effort IMO, and you'll be glad you did.

Yeah this PC is only my Arcade Cabinet and nothing else but yeah I think it is time as I get no updates any more...pain to connect to more modern wifi networks...etc.

 

Now that I know I cannot do a direct upgrade and I have two drives in this beast.  I'll probably keep the boot disk asis and just disconnect it for now.  Install Win7 on the secondary disk(after I make it the primary) and make sure I get everything working before wiping my XP drive.
