Hi, I just updated to last version (14.39) but the previews videos randomly freeze or just crash Game EX. I had much less issues with the 14.35.

I tried to install lav filters and reboot PC but nothing changed.

Windows 10 64 OS.

Here are the log and gameex.ini with game ex crashing.

My windows event viewer blame C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\ntdll.dll for the crash.

Hi, nothing changed with preview videos in 14.39. Its hard to diagnose as you were a few versions behind previously. However not much if anything has changed with preview videos since 14.35. Has anything else changed on your system?

Hard crashes of Gameex are normally always Codec related.

Yup I can browse the "all games section" as fast as I can and no locks up or freezes at all.

I removed LAV filters, rebooted and run with original windows 10 codecs before trying.

I cant duplicate any issues with older version or latest version. The Monkey island videos causes temporary freezes on both versions on my system.

I have no idea why the older version works for you. Very strange.

Codecs galore ...

After more tries with the 2nd gx archive you provided I don't have temporary freezes but it crashes after a while.

I suppose the problem lies within the variable bitrate.

Ive tested all the videos I have available on the system here and everything else seems okay. I doubt its to do with the variable bitrate. That's very common for mp4.

I really have no idea but I don't think its to do with the latest release, I really don't right now.

The monkey island vid does seem to cause issue here on both the latest release and the earlier one I provided.

All I have on the system testing on is lav video, audio, and splitter. Nothing else.

I just tried the new netvideoplayer.dll with last gameex.ex and I have no crash or freeze but, after browsing more than 350 games approximately GameEX stops responding normally. LAV icons still show up with nothing rendered.

4 tries with my custom theme and once with the default one. 1 more with plugins disabled.

I suppose playing so many videos in a row isn't really intended by any codecs and Game EX does a pretty job with this already.

I really don't know what has changed to be honest and I can't duplicate this. Everything was always very stable and would work being up for weeks. I will have to spend some more time on this.
