I know, I know, it's Origin, but for someone wanting to relive an old classic, you may not care.

Wonder if this actually runs on a modern system.........

I bought the collection from GoG.com - comes DRM free and pre-DOSBox configured.

I seem to recall that these games sort of kicked off the interactive media craze, that held ground for a pretty good while.I remember picking up Rebel Assault II thinking how cool it was going to be, only to become bored with the game play! The cut scenes sure where cool, for a while. That game quickly made it to the "done with that one" pile.

I think Drac is referring to Origin itself Any game running through Origin or even Steam, and Uplay has DRM, where as GoG versions are usually completely DRM free

Ah, I'm betting you're right. Wasn't thinking along those lines, more along the lines due to the age of the game itself. "Don't copy this game" was more the norm back not to long before this one released.
