  1. I think I have a work around for my issue here. If I set the default controls to keys that NONE of those fan games use, I can safely use the Keyboard Remap in the Advanced Emulator Config to get a setting for all those fan games and use (my programmed) default to handle the emulators.
  2. I just got mine in today and I was wondering who else here uses one? Also to those with one, what are your thoughts about it? What kinds of problems have you run into when using one of these? My first big problem is, The Tankstick doesn't work with X-Padder, This is a huge problem with games that have fixed controls, as I dont want my guests to have to flip a switch in the back of the control board. Im thinking I might try getting the PS3 adapter and using that in my PC, hopefully making the tankstick read as a controller so i can use Xpadder to map the keys for games that wont let me customize in game. I might have to use the Advanced Emulator Config to get those titles working in GameEx.
  3. Yes sir I did.
  4. I did that, and when i clicked configure, it didn't do anything. Should I post this as a bug?
  5. Where do we find the new plugins?
  6. It seems that PSX didnt like the files. I managed to get another game to work that used different file types. So now that I can get a few games working, I would say this is resolved but I'm sure more questions will arise. So I'm hesitant to mark it as such.
  7. Boy this stuff is complicated. I tried to mount BoF3 and I ripped CoTN, neither will mount in DTlite. It just tells me "unable to mount image, file not accessable" I must be doing this wrong...
  8. Ill have to boot the machine to get those files, but the game doesnt even load. Stay tuned. they are CUE SUB and CCD
  9. It told me about the BIOS when simply trying to open the emulator outside of gameex. So I assume the system needs it to run. Ok, so I got the BIOS and the PSX emulator works, but it wont load the Breath of Fire 3 rom I have. I see 3 files for the rom, and not sure what to do from there.
  10. So I am attempting to get my PSX emulator to work and I cant get either PSX or EPSX to work outside of GameEx. PSX tells me when I open the emulator "this emulator required a BIOS image to be installed in the BIOS folder. I'm a bit stumped as to what that means. And ePSXe tells me "this application faild to start because zlib.dll could not be found. Try reinstalling the program" I'm a complete noob when it comes to PS emulators. And any help would be appreciated.
  11. Since my suggestion was referenced in an above post... Turning off the audio is cool for previews. Also is there a way you can make a setting that will let the jukebox play on the karaoke menu?
  12. Took me a sec to realize it was emailed too.

  14. The working path and the rom path should be the same for running all of the shortcuts you put in a folder
  15. No you will not lose the settings. I had to do that and it kept everything.
  16. It's themes like this that kind of discourage me from wanting to post mine. Good job!
  17. I dont see the ini files. It does sound to me that there is some sort of problem where GameEx is not recognising that you have the registration, hence why your custom menus wont show up. FYI, in your setup wizard, I believe its under tweeks and performance. (or one of the last options) you can turn off alot of those extra features you dont like.
  18. It's not really different emulators. You just have to make additional emulator profiles that direct to project 64. just make each of those profiles go to the rom directory you need it to go to. IE platformer games or FPS games. Also, you can then group all of those n64 profiles together in Emulator Groups to make 1 list in GameEx for all of the 64 games.
  19. What I have recently started doing was using Xpadder and making GameEx change the control schemes. I set up multiple emulators in the list that all direct to the same N64 emulator and each of them has a rompath that suts the control scheme of the games I have in those directories. So in the N64 Roms folder, I have several other folders with the game types separated. Hope that makes sence.
  20. Look in the gameex folder in your start menu.
  21. Looks like it might be a fun movie.
  22. I'm afraid to submit my theme untill I get some of the uglier bits looking better.
  23. I've just set everything to open a blank profile when I exit any games. Works great so far.
  24. there are the three options in the setup wizard in the emulator setup "also launch" "launch before" "launch after" under "also launch" when i direct it to my .bat file, the profile will load with the game if i set a bat file to the other options of "launch before" or "launch after," simply, nothing happens. I hope that explains it So I found a solution. Just type the same line into the "launch before" and "launch after" that i typed into the .bat file instead of directing those items to the .bat files.
  25. So, basically where you say "profile 1" I would replace the words profile 1 with the name of the profile I want to load in the first controller slot? And where you have the discriptions, I would just put in the directory? so should it look like this? start "" "C:\Documents and settings\administrator\desktop\XPADDER\Xpadder.exe" "C:\Documents and settings\administrator\desktop\XPADDER\blank logitek.xpadderprofile" "C:\Documents and settings\administrator\desktop\XPADDER\notetris joy1.xpadderprofile" "C:\Documents and settings\administrator\desktop\XPADDER\notetris joy2.xpadderprofile" /M EDIT: So I have run into a problem, the .bat file works outside of GameEx. But when I set it to "launch before" it doesnt do anything.
