  1. So I started adding the PS Final Fantasy games to my machine. I knoticed that each disk has its own cue file. So I know that when I put the games into GameEx each disk will show up on the menu. Now I was wondering if there was a way to make those games only have 1 entry on the list but still can load the other disks when they are needed. I really dont want to clutter my Playstation menu with 11 Final Fantasy entries when there are only 3 games. Can this be done (and keep the entire game playable), or am I just SOL?
  2. The tutorials are a great place to start. I believe this would work simmilar to how I program in fan games and pc games, but I'm not sure.
  3. I do know the controls work, because they work on a couple of the tables. So it sounds like the tables that aren't working are possibly the wrong versions.
  4. Next problem I have, Some of the tables I have seem to not work. I have my controls set, but all they seem to do is pull the bumper back. It wont move flippers or insert coins or push start. Do I need to have ROMs of these tables as well? Or could this be something else? Also, if tables work, then what is the purpose of the ROM in addition to the tables?
  5. Ok, the problem was my resolution, I had it set wrong. But I want to keep this topic open untill I am through with getting Pinball to work in GameEx.
  6. So its that time, time to install Visual Pinball. Now I have followed a tutorial that was posted on the forums and it led me to ost of what I needed to know when installing. But now, when I try to run a table on it (even the free default tables that come with it), I get an error message saying "could not create off screen surface" i dont know what this means or how to go about fixing it. Right now I'm trying to get this working outside of GameEx, I'll cross that hurdle once I get this working.
  7. I had no lauch before or launch after settings when I was using the plugin. When the plugin is on, all emulators and games are affected. However, when I disable the plugin and use the launch before and after, it does not minimze.
  8. Yup that was my problem. Its resolved now. Thanks!
  9. I wonder if this minimizing problem is related to the minimizing problem when you have Itunes set at the media player for the Jukebox.
  10. Ok so I might have a bit more of an idea reguarding this problem. Seems an "In game" menu appears when i push the "L" key a couple times. Some of my games crash when i push it and some of them go to that menu where i can resume the game. gamex crashes but those games it crashed on are still working in the background. How can I disable that command, or at least shift it over to another key?
  11. I never had a problem with that... all my games load just fine. I will try changing that and seeing if it causes that error again.

  13. I found if I hit a couple keys in some games I will get a random gameex error message. Im not sure what exactly causes it but I can get it to happen in a few games, particularly in Smash Bros Crusade when I hit some buttons while in a match. 14. I use the Custom Menus Tool a bunch for my setup. It is a seperate program in the GameEx folder. I'm not sure if you found that EXE yet. But that should take care of the menus you want and dont want on your page.
  15. Problem still occurs..
  16. Ok here might be a useful peice of information. I moved the exe and reassigned all of the commands. the problem still happened. But then i moved everything back, but didnt change where the pluging was looking for xpadder. I loaded a game with the plugin enabled and it did not minimise. but it did not load my profiles either. so I think it has to do with loading the exe here is the log you asked for ;--- Xpadder Configuration File --- DataType=INI [Core Settings] LastVersion=2012.05.01 LastHost=2FA1BFE6 Language=English [Default Locations] DefaultControllerLocation= DefaultProfileLocation= DefaultImageLocation= [Options] StartWithWindows=0 AssociateFiles=1 StartMinimized=0 AutoOpenLastProfile=1 ScanForXInput=1 ShowAnimations=1 ProcessNonSelectedControllers=1 AutomaticallyDetectNewControllers=1 MinimizeWhenClosingMainWindow=1 RememberWindowPositions=1 AllowMultiMonitorWindowPositions=1 AutoMinimizeOnOpenProfile=0 ReturnToSet1AfterMinimizeRestore=1 ShowDebugSettings=0 ShowTaskbarButtonWhenMinimized=0 ShowIconInNotificationArea=1 ShowNamesOnButtons=1 [Window Positions] AssignmentSettingsWindowPosition=537,574 AssignmentAdvancedSettingsWindowPosition= ControllerPropertiesWindowPosition=354,312 ControllerSettingsWindowPosition=373,266 DPadSettingsWindowPosition= MainWindowPosition=467,354 MouseSettingsWindowPosition=381,324 ProfileSettingsWindowPosition=467,406 SetSettingsWindowPosition= SettingsWindowPosition=370,302 StickSettingsWindowPosition= TriggerSettingsWindowPosition= [Defaults] DefaultStickDeadZone=64 DefaultTriggerDeadZone=1 DefaultKeyTapTime=10 DefaultMouseSpeed=32 [Theme] Interface1=0,15,63 Interface2=255,255,255 Interface3=0,63,127 Background1=255,255,255 Background2=191,191,191 Background3=127,127,127 ThemeImage= ThemeButtons=Vista ControllerTransparency=0 [Controllers] Controller1Name=Logitech Cordless RumblePad 2 Controller1ID=4,109,194,25 Controller1Hidden=0 Controller1File=Logitech Cordless RumblePad 2.xpaddercontroller Controller1Recent1=C:\GameEx\PLUGINS\Xpadder\Config\blank.xpadderprofile Controller1Recent2=XFR Logitek.xpadderprofile Controller1Recent3=blank logitek.xpadderprofile Controller1Recent4=Blank Logitek.xpadderprofile Controller2Name=PS® Gamepad Adaptor Controller2ID=14,143,0,3 Controller2Hidden=0 Controller2File=PS® Gamepad Adaptor [1].xpaddercontroller Controller2File2=PS® Gamepad Adaptor [2].xpaddercontroller Controller2Recent1=Blank Joy1.xpadderprofile Controller2Recent2=Blank Joy2.xpadderprofile Controller2Recent3=blank joy2.xpadderprofile Controller2Recent4= Controller3Name=PS® Gamepad Adaptor Controller3ID=0,143,0,3 Controller3Hidden=0 Controller3File=PS® Gamepad Adaptor [2].xpaddercontroller Controller3Recent1=Blank Joy2.xpadderprofile Controller3Recent2= Controller3Recent3= Controller3Recent4= Controller4Name=MotioninJoy Virtual Game Controller Controller4ID=136,136,3,8 Controller4Hidden=0 Controller4File=XARCADE1.xpaddercontroller Controller4File2=XARCADE2.xpaddercontroller Controller4Recent1=C:\GameEx\PLUGINS\Xpadder\Config\blank.xpadderprofile Controller4Recent2=C:\GameEx\PLUGINS\Xpadder\Config\blank.xpadderprofile Controller4Recent3= Controller4Recent4= [AutoProfiles] AutoProfilesActivated=0 AutoProfile1Activated=0 AutoProfile1Profile= AutoProfile2Activated=1 AutoProfile2Profile= AutoProfile2Watch=Xpadder.exe [Debug] RememberLastSettingsPage=0
  17. So I have Xpadder installed on my desktop. Where should I move it to to make the plugin connect?
  18. Ok I got a feature, I would like to be able to turn on the "Please Wait" message when I use the wait to send keys feature. Some of these games take a bit to load and I dont want people thinking the system just crashed. Also it would be useful for this message to applied to ceertain things that take a while, such as if you have GameEx unzip your PSX games before they are played. I hear that takes a bit of time to do.

  20. So the same thing happened.
  21. Every emulator slot has its own custom controls. So each fan game and emulator takes up a slot. And this problem happens with all games, Emulators and Individuals included.
  22. Im sorry I'm not sure I know what that means...
  23. Yes XPadder is loading all of the profiles without problem. When you ask if Im pointed at the wrong profiles, you mean all the ones I programmed into XPadder and put into the plugin? Yeah those are all correct. I get no problems with the load. Just the minimising. Where is the plugin looking for XPadder profiles and the EXE? How would I change that to look where its currently located? I'll post the log in a sec. 7/21/2012 4:04:08 PM : Xpadder Plugin (Version: 1.0.5) 7/21/2012 4:04:09 PM : GameEx 12.77 loaded successfully! 7/21/2012 4:04:09 PM : ERROR @ XPADDER: Start_Xpadder 7/21/2012 4:04:09 PM : Could not build argument string! 7/21/2012 4:04:09 PM : GAMEEX: Xpadder settings were enabled for GameEx Interface!) 7/21/2012 4:05:59 PM : GAMEEX: Xpadder settings enabled for Xeno Fighters R! 24. Ok I missed that post on the old topic. I will try the link you provided to see if that gives any answers. So I tried that site, and my PC was already set to the settings it suggested I do to the registry. Also, I dont get the XPadder window popping up in front of me, I just see the desktop as I left it. And here is the Xpadder log. EDIT So apparently the forums dont like me posting that type of file to here. 7/21/2012 2:59:03 PM : Xpadder Plugin (Version: 1.0.5) 7/21/2012 2:59:05 PM : GameEx 12.77 loaded successfully! 7/21/2012 2:59:05 PM : ERROR @ XPADDER: Start_Xpadder 7/21/2012 2:59:05 PM : Could not build argument string! 7/21/2012 2:59:05 PM : GAMEEX: Xpadder settings were enabled for GameEx Interface!) 7/21/2012 3:00:37 PM : GAMEEX: Xpadder settings enabled for One player fan games! 25. Now that I'm done with my last problem, its on to solving this one. When the XPadder plugin is active (checked), every time a game is loaded, GameEx instantly minimises and wont load the game untill you maximise GameEx. This doesn't happen when the plugin is unchecked. I really like the plugin and I want to use it but if I cant figure out this problem then I'll have to go back to manual launch befores and launch afters and we know that this can be tedius. I have ruled out (for me anyways) that it's theme related as I tried a few of the defaults and the problem persists. Also ruled out the ambience (but that was a longshot). What logs should I post that might help point me in a direction? I am running XP 32bit
