That really seems odd! I've been using ATI/AMD cards now since the 9800 Pro days, and I have never seen what you are experiencing. After some googling, it seems this problem is pretty prevalent with the 7770, but I don't seen anybody with a solution, lots of RMA's, but no solution. Is this a new install of Windows after your "POP"? Is your motherboard BIOS current? Was the GTX680 already in the computer, and you're downgrading to the 7770? If so, you could be having problems due to leftover driver bits from the nividia software. Previously the standard recommendation was to recommend driver sweeper to get a full removal of the previous GPU's manufacturers drivers. Driver sweeper is old now, and I'm not sure I would recommend that method any longer, but there are manual ways to acheive the same results. GPU tweak is for overclocking it, and probably was out of date as soon as it was put on that disk. If you want that feature, get it from the ASUS site after you have the card running.

I used to be a stripper, so the thinking in layers part isn't a problem. I just need to get used to the software way of doing it.

Cool, I'll give GIMP a go! I read Stigzler's comment/rant , but linkscape is one I've not heard of. I by no means intend to do anything that elaborate, but thought I may pick up some clip art here and there and try to put together a logo of sorts, but I need the ability to layer, and a lot of luck learning how to do it Thanks! <edit> cool forum software, told me a new reply was added just as I was submitting this one. What's everyone using to design their art, GIMP, photoshop? This isn't my area of expertise! I've been playing around with some clips in Word, but it's frustrating at best because it's not really for this. Thanks!

I'm betting that side art will be a bit of a challenge to get on, but it looks great! Seeing how you are getting near closure, at least on this phase of the build, you're making me wish I had already started mine. It's a great build that is only getting better. You hard work has paid off! With any luck, you might actually get to play sometime!

I was sort of afraid of that, but that's good to know! I guess it's a good idea to pick and choose what you want in advance, as opposed to just using an entire rom set, imagine the download time that would need!

Hey CharlesLam, I think what has occurred here is the overall topic of your thread was moved to the gamer rig sub-forum because it revolved around the cabinet which you had gave to your sister, and so it was a bit more fitting here than in the GameEX general forum. During the exchange that has taken place here, the topic has transitioned to a more of a technical support thread. I would recommend you post your technical problems in the GameEX general forum, along with your a copy of your log.txt and gameex.ini file so the guys there can give you a hand. There's a great support group here, and I'm betting this is simply getting a little overlooked because of where it is located within the forum topics.

Not to highjack the thread or anything, but since this topic is already being discussed, if you have an EmuMovies account, does it download these based on favorites, as they are ran, or based on your romset?

I like it a lot, and in your back-lit setup, it will look great! Funny, I was just thinking about this today, and I think it would be cool if Tom, or someone with his blessing, who also happened to be talented with graphics, designed a sort of official cabinet icon "Driven by GameEx", or Powered by, something like that. Just an idea, but I sort of visioned the "Driven by" being rounded over the current "G" in the GameEX logo. I can see this popping up on builds down the road, marquee's like yours for instance, and adding a nice touch! Sort of like a intel inside thing! Eh, just another idea floating around in my head while I try and visualize different ideas for my own build.

My eyes! That's certainly not what I had in mind!
