Hi Gundoid and welcome If you require a video to play when you boot GameEx i believe it needs to be in your themes media folder. It should also be named GameExIsLoading, so GameExIsLoading.avi, GameExIsLoading.mp4 etc. So to clarify it should be somewhere like this (assuming it's an MP4): ...\GameEx\THEMES\TheThemeYouAreUsing\MEDIA\GameExIsLoading.mp4 You may also need to enable it in Enable/Disable Features i can't remember

DAM! How did i forget KOTOR?! Easily another of my fave all time RPG's. I must have played it all the way through at least 10 times. I still have my original xbox copy Unfortunately i never played KOTOR 2 as my xbox was dead at the time and i never got around to catching up. Do you think it would be worth picking up on Steam and playing through? A couple of buddies at the time said it wasn't as good as the first, but then they had bad tastes in games anyway @Exes - Shenmue was another great indeed! I got a bit annoyed with the whole "it will be three parts, but we'll only give you two parts" crap. It sort of ruined it for me a bit.

Your best option would be to setup MAME in GameEx. You can then select the 4-Player list within GameEx and try them for yourself As MAME emulates arcade games they should all be relatively easy to learn and more often than not fun to play.

And about the nukes - you'd hate playing me coz i like to play the defensive game, building up my army with the 5k patch enabled. How awesome was TA online at the time! Watching 1000's of mechs collide in all out war. It was a sight to behold and still is. I still play it to this day occasionally. I usually load a 4player map and take on 3x hard Ai. Dam i think it's time for a re-install! I wonder if there are any TA servers still running...

Woah, you played TA too?! I personally think it's the best RTS of all time i can get quite passionate about so i'll restrain myself. As for SC (SupCom) i had such high hopes for it, and it is a good game, but it just didn't capture the magic that makes TA one of the best. Know what i mean? Or am i just being a total fanboy? PS: I still have both original discs in original case, same with Half-Life, i'm proud of that

You're right - it's been so long since i needed to "New Task" from Task Manager i totally forgot you should use the keyboard shortcut I'll add that to my previous post for anyone else who happens upon this thread. Thanks for posting back! Done. @greenpuddin - although it's not necessary to include the extension in this case, it is good practice to get people using the full command - i feel a lot of situations could be avoided if we could dissuade people from taking the quick route

When can we expect to donate user themes? I have some in the running, but i scrutinize myself far too much so i'm wondering if i should just hurry up or take my time? I'm asking because i want to do what i can with this project - i absolutely love it and i know that not everyone is adept at digital artistry and so would like to see a nice selection available to those users

[small Request] I know you're busy at the moment but i really think this will put a frosty glaze on your iced bun - a full sized preview option! Maybe have it open in your default browser with some generic text so we can see what it looks like. At the moment we have to actually set it as our own tag, boot GameEx then refresh our profile page. If you're creating a particularly complicated tag with many layers it can get a bit tiresome. I know we can see a preview in the plugin config but it's tiny! This is when you tell me it's already available and i missed it

I always find these lists kind of hard - i've played sooooooooo many games in my lifetime and can't really pin any down as my all time faves, because no matter what i choose there would still be loads that get left out. And they shouldn't. A top 100 would make me feel more at ease with my choices - but i'd never make anyone endure that! What i will do is name a few that always rank high for me. In no particular order (apart from the top one - it really is my all time fave!) Total Annihilation Half-Life (first one) FFX (but you knew that ) Balls of Steel Worms (original Amiga vers) Phantasy Star Online (all versions. It owes me about 8 years of my life!) Crimzon Clover Tekken 2 KOTOR Quite the mix I have broad tastes. I'll add more as they emerge from the pits of my mind.

Max is right, you'll need to manually load explorer so you can run Instant Sheller again. Follow these quick steps: quit GameEx Press CTRL+ALT+DEL (start Task Manager) Press (left Alt, not Alt Gr) ALT+N in the box that pops up type explorer.exe, press Enter You should now be able to browse to Instant Sheller using your keyboard. Once run, it will revert Windows back to how it was.

I'd go round and stiff for the shmups (yup a made a double entendre), a quick centering will help a lot with split second decisions and i'd always use a round gate for shmups, always! /my2c
