  5. Browsing around I just stumbled on a thread regarding a possible alternative xbox pad emulator. Those using X360ce along with a plunger may find this of interest so thought I would post here, I have not tried UCR in many years so this is untested for pincabs..... Click me Good luck.
  6. That is not impossible you know :). Currently I am catching just the one window (GameEx in windowed mode) to save resources - hence the flash games as they do not spawn a new window with a different title. Not tried it but whole desktop capture is possible with Ovrdrop, Oculus dash also works but I loose the ability to change opacity and fine grained placement. May have a play again sunday .
  7. Not really sure how useful the theme is but uploaded it anyway. So yeah elite is all I really play now (at least for the last three years anyway), and the whole VR thing is a literal game changer - although google earth VR kicks rear as well. I had to use a few out of game tools to pull the panel into game, and also move the play space about around me etc but enjoy that kind of stuff anyway. Youtube rendered that video horribly and and at a really low res for some reason?. Anyway here is another one featuring the universes most versatile front end!.

  11. A bit off topic, but is FX3 a big upgrade from FX2 from a gameplay perspective?. Running out of HD space so have a choice to make.
  12. Well not been here for a while - sorry, just got an email from the site. My bluestacks install is now very out of date and stripped of a lot of bloat so would possibly be much different to the latest build, if it aint broke right?. I have been using an ahk script to launch the kickstarter version which I think is the same as the steam one (they sent a steam key recently for it) To exit I have my pinballX exit key remapped to a taskill command and it works perfectly along with display changer2 to manage the rotation. My cab is not handy right now, but I can dig out what I use tomorrow if you like?.

  15. Yep I can confirm that my PBA/free camera mod combo is in an "other systems" slot ,mostly because the whole built in support slipped right passed me . And secondly because to get the backglass to fill my second 1080p screen I need to not only rotate screen one but change the res of screen two and use Display changer2 for this along with Ahk (can dig out my set up info if needed). Not sure if the integral support could be leveraged to auto navigate once PBA has loaded via the camera mod?. Guess if you used the launch before option to do the screen changing stuff first it could work?.
  16. The 90`s saw me doing nothing but hang off of rockfaces, so can not compare sorry. I can say though that I thought my X52 pro was good, but alongside a Warthog it feels just like a toy. The warthog does have a heavy action that needs time to get used to, but I would never go back now as the resistance feels right. The thing all the reviews say is that you will never accidentally push a button as the force needed is that high, the warthog is much more accurate around the center point that an X52 also. Voice attack will take care of anything you do not have bound to a stick and is great for macros too, the voice dictation in my experience is not as good as in this video, even after many training passes the windows api still output garbage most of the time. Dragon is how I get around that now, so really a keyboard could e bipassed.

  18. My old HOTAS died so I splurged on a Thrustmaster warthog and that thing is HEAVY - that whole tray just rests in place just fine under its own mass. So I just pick it up and place it on the desk. Think I will weigh it as I am curious now. Edit - 8.3KG
  19. Yes that chair does look nice, and reminds me of This project a lot. The main thing that worries me about those designs is still the lack of a keyboard tray and mouse for later on in elite and definitely for the star citizen FPS stuff we have already. I still swear by having a keyboard handy for elite, but did yesterday manage to get voice dictation into the comms panel to work about 99% accurately with a combo of voice attack and Dragon naturally, so no more blind typing! . Dragon is damn expensive software though, and is a bit flakey in SC. Personally I made a new set of arms for my office chair with a big flat platform then added some removable arm padding and a keyboard tray with my HOTAS attached. Looks a bit like an overgrown baby high chair but fits under my desk for normal usage.. When in star citizen I can still reach my mouse and also a Nostromo pad, can not really see me changing this set up
  20. so you guys totaly ninja`ed the post I was about to make... Forgot abut the WinXP and DX11 limit, but do highly recommend the upgrade to atleast win7. and then the free camera mod.

Sorry in advance to the OP if this has been stated before (only skimmed through), but have you gone through the initial screen setup via the PBA config app outside of pinballX with the screen already rotated in the windows screen settings?. This will set Pinball arcades orientation and res to portrait. On a different note how long has PinballX done this wizardry?. I used to really hate Pinballarcades camera view to such an extent that I uninstalled it, but with the Camera mod that changed, I now see just how good it really plays!. The mod will not rotate your screen but it will auto start Pinball arcade and works fine through Pinballx as long as you are happy to miss out on auto loading individual tables but honestly thats no big deal. So my system is close to your new specs -4790k -Z97X-UD3H-BK mobo -GTX 970 -16 GIGS RAM It runs ED perfectly now, I am though expecting to have to upgrade the GPU or get another 970 and SLI them for VR. This is based on frontiers min GPU specs of a 980 found here... https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=207248 Hope a 970 will cut it but the wallet is ready .
