  1. Well if you still want to use snes9x. Just use ver 1.38 or higher. It supports auto hide of the mouse pointer. This may or may not get rid of your flicker issue. Post your log file from gameex after the games exits back to GE. C:\Program Files\GameEx\LOG. Make sure to use verify setup in Setup Wizard and note any errors.
  2. Dl this flash video I made. See if it helps you locate it. http://www.filesend.net/download.php?f=b5b...333a6d7fe8fea0e
  3. You are in luck my friend. I'm also a I-PAC user and have come across this very same issue. (ie. Keys not being programmed. You need to create a bacth file with the winipac command. Place the batch file in the GameEx root directory. Now just browse for the batch file with the wizard. Once selected it should just display the batch file name and not a directory with it.
  4. It seems normal to take a few minutes. I'm using a xp 3200+ and with a full rom set it takes a few minutes.
  5. Whoa.... Calm down. What version of snes9x are you using?
  6. Winkawaks requires its own set of roms.
  7. I have no clue. Maybe just manually change the font via. theme editor.
  8. Its under DVD settings in Setup Wizard.
  9. Maybe change the codec that gameex uses for video playback.
  10. May I suggest just using winkawaks for all your neogeo needs?
  11. Yes you can change the ambience to what ever you want. If you compile a list of LOTR screens and icons I'll see what I can do. No promises.
  12. Q: I've been using GameEx a while and just upgraded my version of MAME. Every time I launch a game it just returns to GameEx, A: Certain command line options were removed from MAME in recent versions. Go into GameEx configuration > Advanced MAME Configuration. Look at the line that says CMD/Command options and remove the text that says -skip_disclaimer. Its not for advance mame emu. Its advanced settings.
  13. Thanks HK. While posting this I came across this page. http://www.arcadecab.com/Projects/VolumeTray.htm Which links to a great utility. It has an option to set to a default windows volume upon boot and can also control the volume during a game. It worked fine in GameEx and Mame but didnt work in chankast.
  14. Since none knows if this is possible. Is it possible to set windows to default to a certain volume level? Since this is where GameEx gets it from.
  15. Q: I'm using a recent version of MAME (.106 or newer), I'm a registered user and I've read all the other suggestions but games do not run it just returns to GameEx. On closer inspection it appears that only vertical games do not run such as Pac Man. A: You can fix this by turning off the "Use Bezel" option under "Basic MAME Settings" in the configuration application. Q: I've been using GameEx a while and just upgraded my version of MAME. 16. It depends on how complex you want to get with a theme. It's not against the rules BTW.
  17. I had that same problem which is why I switched to Zsnes.
  18. Create a folder called rom in your game directory. Next create a Text file labled whatever you want to display as the games Title. ie. (MDK.txt) Next save it. Now direct GameEx to the rom directory and your text file will be displayed as the game name. Your command line should be MDK95.exe and nothing else.
  19. Is it possible to change how loud the volume is inside GameEx when it starts? I know you can adjust it from within. I would just like a default audio adjustment. Thanks.
  20. I find that running cd's and not iso's make for jerky sound or video playback. Make sure DMA is set on all your drives. I would also make an iso of your game and try to compare them both. Your system is fine but your video card is a little weak. I doubt that would be a problem for ePSXe. Hope you get it working the way you want it.
  21. I'm using the orginal Chankast_alpha_25.exe. Does it make a difference where in the ini file I place the information? Thanks.
  22. System specs please.
  23. Makes no difference. All will work fine.
  24. Try making sure GameEx doesn't switch resolutions. Its in the setup wizard under display settings turn on don't switch resolutions. If that doesn't work. Specify a certain resolution for GameEx to use. Something like 800x600. I'm not sure what your television can handle. May be a refresh rate problem between gameex and your tv. I use a Tv an have no problems. I'm also using an ATI card. Let us know how it goes.
  25. I've had this problem. Can't recall how I fixed it.
