How do I change the codec? The files use a xvid codec

I have put some videos into my videos folder to play in gameex. I open them up in game ex and choose play play radomly. They come up but will crash back to gamex after about 30 sec. The videos are fine because they work great in media player.

version 110...the newest version. Im going to download the new release and reinstall mame...Ill see what they does. Also, im getting alot of roms that are corrupted zip files...Anyway to repair these type of problems with a program of some sort?

Ok, I have been working clrmamepro, and its fine and jiffy for fixing my roms, however any ideas on to fix the update list thing with verify roms on?

I have reinstalled gameex twice, and still same thing occurs when rom verify is on. Also roms that worked before don't seem to work anymore...Any ideas, im getting a black screen and the message : can create the 3d object"...gameex freezes

I did a google search to find out where to download crlmamepro....no find. Where can I download it and what does it do?

It only crashes and gives me the message when verify roms is on....I just turned it off and it updated. How can I get the verify roms working? I would like to use this because i get games with missing rom files in my list that arent playable

When I go to update my mame game list now, it crashes and says "could not create the direct 3d device"....Any clue whats going on here? Im running arcadeVGA, and have verify roms turned on...

I have installed the newest version of gameex on my machine. I am running windows xp home edition with service pack 2 installed. I have directx and networkframe installed as well. I have set up my mame emulator and rom directories. I open up game ex and click on mame. No games show up, so i try to run "update list" for the first time. The updating list box comes up and I click on it. It then acts as if it starts but never gets past the creating list.dat (2%) ....It simply freezes and I have to ctrl/alt/del to get out of the program. Can someone please help me with this problem...? Thanks in advance for everyones help.

Not all of my games will be croped inside my monitor. cant you apply settings in gameex so that the games like centipede arent overly large (coming off the screen area)...I am using arcadevga

when i set gameex to use arcadevga settings it doesnt fit, when i disable arcadevga the games are croped correctly, but when i try to play a game such as mortal combat 2 my monitor will go berzerk and will crash my system. What do i need to do with the gameex options to get games such as centipede (240x256) to be fully on my screen ?

I am running gameex on my arcade monitor. Im using the command line of mame with the res tool featured on mamewahs site. When i run my games through the command line they are correctly fit to the screen (due to the res tool), but when i start up gameex and run my mame games they will still be native res. Anything withing gameex that could be doing this? -Kyle
