Is this game able to work on Windows Xp? I get lots of slowdown, pausing and sound problems. I searched the internet and many have the same problems. I've just been unable to find a fix. Any one running this?
Go to this site. http://www.hfc-essentials.net/gameex/ Click Game Extras on the left. Click Extras and tools. Then click on tutorials. I made a few that show how Theme Editor works. There should be one that shows how to enable mpegs as backgrounds.
You are right ourgrace. I was taking the answers off of the webiste and such. All answers default to A unless I change them. I must have skipped that one. Good catch. I'll update the orginal post with the new version. So all those people who got 80%. Consider it 90%
I created a short trivia game about GameEx. Give it a try. It even offers an email option at the end to provide me your scores. I'll post the first 3 people's name who get 100% http://www.filesend.net/download.php?f=e22...1089f5494aef3a6 Updated version** ***Top 3 Gurus*** 1. Pandemonium 2:47min (Sorce 100%) 2. 3.
Alt+Tab lets you return to Desktop from GameEx. The black hole seems like its kicking you back to the desktop. Enable show Desktop. See whats going on when it kicks you out.
Yeah I've tried using but have no clue how to get it to work. The instructions are a little vague. It seems that when I put "JoyToKey.exe"(Minus the exe) for example in the process1= field. It simply waits for the process to close before returning to GameEx. I want it to close. The instructions say it can be used to "Wait to exit" or "close on exit". So what I'm doing is simply the first part. There must be more.
Select Custom from the setup wizard and select News Feed. Then just click past the first screen to get to Verify Setup. Try pasting your log file here. Start/All Programs/GameEx/Log I doub't it show anything but worth a shot. Just go into GameEx like you would normally. Make sure to see if it accesses the drive. Then exit and paste the log. Last thing would be to run a virus check.
Sounds like you have a path setup wrong. What is your floppy drive letter? Is it A or B? Look to see if you have a path setup to use that letter. Run the Verify Setup in Setup Wizard. See if it reports anything.
I'm an idiot. I wasn't thinking. I think you need to enable custom backgrounds for emus. Follow this link http://www.hfc-essentials.net/gameex/ Click on GameExtras on the left. Then click Extra's and tools. Now click LingPanda's Video Tutorials. I created a Video Tutorial on how to enable custom menu backgrounds.
I'm using joytokey fine. I'm actually trying to use Tom's built in joy to key feature under PC Mouse V3 under advanced config. I only see where 1 joypad can be configured. Plus its not labled as player 1. I assume it defaults to whatever pad is plugged in. I think this would be the best way to do it. I could do away with joytokey.exe I would like more info on how to kill process via. the advanced config. Thanks!
I see a slight problem with this. You can only map 1 joystick in the config. Or am I missing something here. I would like to use this method now if possible to map 2 joysticks. One for 1st player and ofcourse the second for 2nd player.
I'm not sure what GameEx exactly puts into the registry. There may be a problem going from one pc to another. You will suffer performance issues with your emu's and games. Assuming you try running more then just mame games.
