Ok if I click ` inside mame I can adjust the volume. Its turned down all the way. If I use the -volume 0 command line it has no effect.

Yep no difference. Only the volume in Mame is low. I did notice that trying to chnage the volume with - = wouldn't work. Maybe thats a key to something.

When I launch Mame inside GameEx the volume on all games now is very low. Even with the windows volume turned all the way up. It wasn't like this before. All other emu volumes is fine. Any suggestions?

is the mouse enabled inside GameEx via. the setup wizard?

Ok I fixed it. I can't believe how much troubleshooting it took to track down the GameEx setting that cause this error. This is how I solved this issue. I went into Setup Wizard. Selected "tweaks & performance". Changed the option "Creat Image/Video on thread" from "yes create on thread" to "No thread". This little option was causing all this headache. Is this a problem on my end or what? Either way its fixed. Thanks for the help Tom.

I've enabled all windows xp services that default to on. No luck. I did find out that if I set the path to a CD/DVD drive it works fine. Just craps out on my HD.

I've tried several different paths. All do exactly the same thing. Minimizes GameEx with the error. Is there maybe a windows setting or service, that I may have turned off preventing this from working in GameEx?

If I remove my pictures directory it works and doesnt kick me out. Only down side is I cant view my pictures. Still kicking me out of GameEx with that error. As soon as I click on pictures the menu comes up for a split sec. then it kicks me out. doesn't seem to affect any other menu option. I upgraded from your previous version. This is my log file now. Now when I click on pictures it minimizes gameex when the error message. I can then click on GameEx and have it maximize again. It will not display any snaps or videos after recovering from this error. Ok this is a little weird. I did a reboot and started GameEx. Clicked Multimedia then pictures and everything worked fine. I then went straight to exit GameEx and the error message came up. So I started GameEx. Clicked Multimedia then pictures. Then it kicks me out with the error message everytime. Only thing different I did was install Photo Shop 2 on this HD with GameEx.

I get an error when trying to view my photos. I'm still having the Verify Setup problem. I was able to fix the "Run on launch" problem. I just copied the string in my batch file to the field and everything is working great again.

I notice when I verify my setup inside the wizard. Its say my mame path does not exist. Everything seems to be working fine inside of GameEx. All my games launch correctly. Is the wizard not seeing the mame path? Only reason I bring this up is I was having a small issue with the "Run on launch" command for mame. My batch files have stopped working in this field. If I specify a batch file to run on launch. The roms will not load. Returns back to GameEx with the "Game Over" sound from the plugin. Ive recently upgraded to the latest vers. of GameEx and noticed this.

I'm not sure if it's a Theme Editor problem or just me doing something wrong. If I just use one of the themes titled "Default - Custom V2 Default 1024x768" as a theme. The task bar will not display correctly. This is without modifications.

This happened to me today. Only thing different I did was change mame32 versions. It glitched out. went to a black screen. It wouldn't update. I removed a batch file that started up when mame would start and the list updated itself fine.
