I was lucky enough to pick up my Mortal Kombat II Cabinet for $100. It was off a friend of mine. The control panel was completely destroyed. It had been converted several times after being a dedicated MK machine. It came with the orginal monitor. I actually threw the monitor away. Didn't know at the time I could use it. It also didn't come with any Jamma board. It was more or less the case with a monitor. I'm also missing the coin door parts. I would suggest trying to buy a used arcade cabinet. Check your local arcades for any on sale. See if they have some not working and ask how much they will sell it for. Check local ads.

It does. Its a registered only feature. I have my roms 7zip and all is fine on my end. Kinda weird.

I noticed when GameEx starts up I no longer see the now loading screen. It still seems to take just as long to load. I just don''t see the screen anymore. Plus ATI drivers are still broke as of 7.1 release. What a shame.

I uninstalled and then installed from the setup.exe. No difference.

You can overwrite your previous install with the new version. Will not harm anything.

What ATI driver version are you using? No matter what resolution I use. Just as the opening Midway logo is about to fade. It slows down to a crawl.

What do you mean by use them as icon? Is your Theme Resolution also 640x480? Can you ul one of your mpegs to Filesend so I can dl and test?

Yeah I tried all the diff. options. All game the same kind of performance. In the intial release they mentioned problems with ATI cards. (Rage Series). I'm using an ATI 9800XT. Not sure if that has anything to do with it.

I don't know. It appears to be the full image. It includes the movies. I have Blitz99 but couldn't get it to even start. Gave me an error.

I'm still having a problem with the task bar. It will not show the entire bar when the mouse is over. Take a look at this pic Notice how only the icon I have the mouse over shows. If I choose to always display task bar in GameEx it displays fine. If I have my mouse over any of the media controls on the far right. It will not display anything. I thought I may have overwritten something so I dl'ed the default themes again. Same problem.

I haven't finsihed making Video Tutorials for Theme Editor. I do have a few completed that should be of help. Visit the following link http://www.hfc-essentials.net/gameex/ On the left click Game Extras/Extras and Tools and you should see Tutorials. There are several for Theme Editor inside.

I briefly scanned through the search function. I'll have to put it through its paces. I did a search for "Verify Setup" and nothing was returned. Is there a way to access this without going through menus?

There isn't one. As far as I can tell if your keyboard doesnt havent multimedia keys it will not work. The Doc page list the keyboard buttons as Pause and Resume.

Well I'm not sure why the videos are not showing. Are they in the correct format? What resolution are they in? What codec? Are they placed in the correct folder for the correct theme? On a side note. That isn't my site. Thats Adultery's web site. He was just kind enough to host my tutorials. He and others have chosen to give back to GameEx for being such a great FE.
