Sorry took so long to reply back. When the weather is bad, my work picks up . Anyway the controls aren't being mapped the ESC key is the only thing that works. Even on my keyboard. Here is the config - [Emulator_28] Enabled=True System=Pinball Category=Pinball Emulator=Future Pinball Version=1.9.20081225 Rating= DownloadUrl=http://www.gamesdbase.com/setupwizard/emulators/download/FuturePinball.7z RequiredFiles= Website=http://www.futurepinball.com/ Info=Future Pinball is a real time Pinball Development System. Works like a champ outside of GameEx.
I don't understand why my controls aren't working in Future Pinball. I've used 2 different ways to set up FB on GameEx and all have failed. I've used the SetupWizard and the filled in the blacks with FB as an emulator and the controls didn't work. I deleted the SetupWizard FB and tried with just plain old GameEx Advanced Config and the controls still didn't work. The tables load fine, all my art is there, screens, everything. Just can't get any controls working. Any ideas?
I realized that I haven't put OpenBOR configured in GameEx. I've tried throwing it in with my PC games (I use the 'shortcut' *.lnk config as an emulator for them) but it won't seem to work properly for BOR. It'll load to a black screen, and I can't pick any game but if I press "S", it'll load the first game I have listed. So, anybody have this running successfully through GameEx?
The buzz wore off, the floor is riddled with remnants of colored paper, the tree is semi-crooked, the kids are sleep. Its finally over, it was great. Hope you all had a good one too. Here's to a great start of 2010 to the GameEx team. Thanks for all the help in 2009, hopefully I won't need too much in 2010.
I did show the path to the .png in GameEx Conf but no matter what I name it, it won't show. Not to be too much of a noob but, I coudn't get it to work in CPWizard. That's why I made one outside of CPWizard in the first place. EDIT: Figured it out. Didn't put .png after the file name in the path. F:\Emulators\VirtuaNES\Controls\VirtuaNES.png Wow.
I have CPWizard and its great with MAME. I tried my hand at designing a single CP for just VirtuaNES outside of CPWizard to blanket all my ROMS instead of one image for each ROM. The .png is in the emulator in the controls folder and for the life of me, it won't show when I launch a game. I've renamed it several times, made numerous adjustments in GameEx config. No dice. It only works if I name it a game name, if I name it Super Mario Bros it shows for SMB only. Any ideas?
Have you tried using VLC player to run those? VLC plays every format I've thrown at it. I set mine up as an emulator to play my mp4's and various other media.
Well, I did uninstall it. Turns out GameEx was installed twice on the system somehow. I removed both the old version and the new and reinstalled everything from scratch. Runs like a champ now, intro video starts and video snaps play. Yay! Thanks for your help.
Thats whats also odd, I have GameEx 10.28. Thats what I updated to even though the log says 10.10. Freakin wierd. I'll uninstall GameEx (after backing it all up) and reinstall the latest version and see if it works.
I did some google research on that and found a bunch of net framework issues. I have 2.0 framework. From what I found Microsoft, had a patch for a similar error message but I don't use and or run the programs that the patch was initially for. I never moved the files. This was the initial cpu I used for all my MAME and gaming. This is the first system I ran GameEx on.
I decided to update GameEx with my key and finally add some video snaps to MAME and a few emulators. My intro video isn't working at all and none of the MAME videos show. I have the latest DirectX and also FFDshow. I've been racking my brain for a bit now and can't figure it out. Maybe some fresh eyes on it can help me.
Congratulations to me for finally getting off my ace and becoming registered. Bout time. And a big thank you to Tom for this wicked FE. AND, also to the crew here on the forum for all the help. Much appreciate it guys.
