I have my MUGEN in my PC games. Set up the same with the shortcut link (*.lnk) as the rom filter. Marvel Vs. Capcom 3 MUGEN = badassness.

Just saw the Roku 2 at Fry's Electronics today. They didn't have a demo but, they did have a huge display with the $99 dollar XS and the $79 dollar other. The wife was impressed but I think she needs to see it in action.

Yes, for both, use D3D. Just a side note, try using ZiNcCab for a smoother emulation. AND, if you have a dual core or higher you can just use MAME .143 to play ZN1 and ZN2 games. Some games play better now with MAME then in ZiNc.

Mesk you we're right. For some reason I still thought ZiNc was the only way to emulate ZN2 system. And Tekken 3 plays better through MAME than on ZiNc!

I'm about to! ZiNc was such a pain and if I can get rid of it, I am.

Yeah for sure, let us know! Never heard of the Roku box but it looks pretty cool. I think my kids would enjoy something like this in their bedroom.

From the first post, I love the look of the icons with the scan lines. Of the Pong images, the second image with the solid layer of black I like the best. These would be a great addition to the Space Invaders theme!

I only recommend MAMEUI only as it is easy to setup. Some of the features I like, personally, and that is what I use for MAME. First setup MAMEUI outside of GameEx. Then when your all straight, open up the Setup Wizard. You can setup MAMEUI with the Setup Wizard under the MAME settings. Just show GameEx where your .exe file is, artwork, roms and so on and that's it. Once you open GameEx, under the MAME selection, scroll down to the bottom option and "Update List". It takes some time but it will then show all your MAME games in the list.

Well personally, I use MAMEUI64. It has a pretty easy to use GUI and you can see what is available based on current roms and what you do have in your set. And integrating it with GameEx is just as easy. You can always checkout MAWS and see what other roms are needed for which game you want to add to your MAME collection.

First off, welcome to GameEx! Now for your MAME issues, what version of MAME are you running? "Vanilla" MAME (no gui or frontend) or MAMEUI or some other MAME build? As for the roms not working, are they working with MAME outside of GameEx? Also, some games need multiple roms in order to form a 1 working rom game. For example, your King Of Fighters (or any Neo Geo MAME game) you will also need the neogeo rom file. Some roms also require a .chd file to make them run. As per the rules set at this forum I can not tell you where or direct you to where you can get this roms but google is quite a good tool.

The first video had "copyright" issues due to the ambient music (Daft Punk). It kicked it back on both Youtube and when uploaded to Bookface, er, Facebook. I resnapped it with Arcade Ambience and no issues.

You can. You can also set it up to play your movies in whichever folder you direct it to show. I had mine doing that but it would play Donnie Brasco right after Galaga. Not as cool as it sounds. LOL!
