That's some fine inginuity there djour! I'll never look at the furniture section at Target the same. Draco where are you finding these pre-fab at? I really like the pedistal one but worry about the monitor during gameplay. Fighting games are my thing and the kids and I get pretty into it when we play. I could see that thing taking a dive right off during a game of MKII.
Looks great djour! I like space. When your in GameEx and want to take a snap, hit the Print Screen button on your keyboard. Then minimize GameEx, open up Paint and Paste. Or grab FRAPS or equivelant. Fraps is my best friend.
Gotcha. I was searching high and low for some specific GameEx app. Even tossed a .99$ download in there for a crap remote contoller app that turned out to be a soup sandwich. Oh well.
Ok I'm officially stumped and don't know where to go from here. Messed around in the WEB folder and can't seem to get what I'm after. TOM - Where and what app exactly is being used in this video http://spesoft.com/default.aspx?page=newsitem&newsid=430 That is more or less what I'm after. So I can sit in the other room and change the game for the kids while they play.
I so wish Kega Fusion managed to emulate SS as I had my share of fumbling through getting SSF to actually work myself. Maybe its a focus issue. Idk. Have you added a process wait for a few seconds after exit maybe it will unlock the keys? Just a guess here folks.
My t molding came from here - http://www.t-molding.com/store/home.php?cat= They've got all sorts of colors and tectures. I've still got 15' of the light blue (went a bit overboard when I ordered) that I can ship out to ya Adultery.
Well here's an updated shot. I've managed to mount the monitor, add some plexi over that and installed the front external USB outlets. Just needing to bezel the monitor and create an instruction card for GameEx.
Good spend. My return was pretty good also. I got a much needed new video card and the rest went to some important things around the house like, rekeying the locks and curtains. Curtains are very important.
I could see this as being cool, if you could map your movements in the NES Super Mario Bros. game or something along those lines. K-Man, was there a list of games that where going to be released specificly for the PC using the Kinect? The website you linked to says nothing about that.
I should update that pic as I did figure it out. Instead of buying the kit from Suzo (which Im pretty sure wouldn't work honestly) I just bought a wall tilting hanger from Frys for $20 bux. Then I added some support members to the inside of the cab, cut a piece of mdf and mounted it inside. Put the wall hanging hardware on the back of the monitor and the mdf, slapped that together and it looks great. Just have to rattle can the plexi around it.
Hahahaha! Dont hate! Android still holds a place in my heart and on my computer. Just wanted reliability and function, which Apple has. Back on topic, I'll check the API for sure and mess around with it. Thanks.
The above download has the X-Arcade control config that will work with MAME or other MAME-like arcade emulators. For specific console emulators, NES SNES GEN or other, you'll need to configure the controls within the emulator itself. What emulators are you trying to get the controls to work in?
Yes, its very nice. Test drove it on MAME, Dolphin (Wii and GC), some higher end PC games (DMC4, SSF4) and so far nodda one complaint. Whisper quiet too, very minimal heat also. I'm quite happy with it thus far. Plus there was a $10 rebate so the cost really wasn't that bad in the long run. I'd recomend it for a cheap higher end card with a cheap price tag.
Purchased! Fortunate for me, there is a Fry's Electronics right down the street and I picked this up for a damn good deal. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814130652 Yeah, I did go with Nvidia again. Maybe next time I'll jump ship and ATI. I couldn't pass up the price for a 2gb card. Had to get a new power supply for it too but, I had a feeling it was also time for that. All installed and running and I'm back gaming again. Yays.
Thanks guys for the input. Ill check out those for sure. In the future id like to have a smaller, second monitor so a dual card might be what I should look for.
Fired up my cab a few days ago, started to play and my video card went out. Did the ol dissasemble unconnect, reconnect and yeah it's toast. Good news is, I've got an appointment to do my taxes on Monday. That means, Monday afternoon I go shopping for new video card. Anyone have any suggestions for whats new out? Nvidia wise. Might go big too, never know.
